Phew!! It’s Thursday and I am off from work today!! I am so glad because I can spend some time with my son today before grandpa takes him for the weekend. Now that I am working it seems that anytime that I spend with my son is so much more precious than ever. You all know what I mean? I love my little boy! This morning he climbed into bed at 6:00am and we both went back to sleep until 8:30am. It was so nice and very much appreciated too. Then we had breakfast and today I am being so good. I had:
- Special k cereal 160 cals
- 1/2 banana 60 cals
- oscar Meyer canadian bacan 2 slices 40 cals
It was so yummy and my body was craving some good healthy food too. After breakfast we went to the park for 1 hour. We have to get out earlier here in central Texas because by noon we are experiencing 92 degree weather. I can’t believe it because it is October already and I am craving for some cool weather NOW! I want to wear my fall clothes darn it!! After that I went to the beauty supply store to pick up some hair color and relaxer because my hair is looking pretty bad now. (kinky!!) Then we went to the mall and jump at the inflatable playland for a while. Later we went to Target because my little one is having some growth spurts so I bought more, spider man underwear, socks, pjs, and a few more summer outfits. I can’t believe he will be turning 4 next month. I swear this little guy will be taller than me by the time he is 10 years old. I also ended up buying the Scooby-Doo/Scooby Doo 2 DVD and right now he is watching that. He loves those movies, so I am glad because I can have a short break.
On a health tip today I already have 4 glasses of water in for the day which means 4 more this afternoon which is be easy since I bought my crystal light packs, yey!! I love the raspberry ice ones. Yum Yum.. Then since I did low impact yoga yesterday I will do step aerobics tonight along with ab work too. I am still in the progress of reading Burn The Fat Feed the Muscle by Tom Venuto. Remember I mentioned prior that I wanted to build a little more muscle. Well, that is still my goal. So far I am at the section of the book where he talks about goal setting and setting realistic goals in order to have success. I agree with that so much. I am just relating that to weight loss because a lot of people have goals to lose weight but may set unrealistic goals. For example some one want to lose 50 pound in two months. You know? So he gives different ways to set goals without setting yourself up for failure. I am trying to read it faster so that I can get to the meat and potatoes of the book like the meal plans and workouts. I am so ready, but I will have to be patient with myself. So maybe after I color my hair I will read more.
Well I am off to browse and watch a little of the movie with my son. chat later!!
