Exercise… I Have This Love Hate Relationship With and you?
Posted by: Natasha in Weight loss challenges, What's Up With Natasha Today?Hi everyone,
I hope that you are getting through hump day this week. I am trying to, but man with these darn allergies are kicking my butt and then to add to this my little one has allergies too. So, today is quite a challenge. We have both been indoors all day and now it just started to rain. Maybe the rain will knock out some of the allergens out of the air. Please!!
How many of you love the effects of what exercise can do for your body during and after weight loss? I know I do, but man do I hate making a date to do it!! Do any of your feel that way too sometimes? You love exercise and then you hate it too?
Today I could have just thrown away my step bench away because my legs are tired and then I looked at the Bowflex and wanted to turn the other way? I just don’t like to workout my muscles and then the next day I feel like a sore old lady that has to run around all day and chase a active almost 4 year-old around. lol. :) All I know is that I did my exercise anyway and I felt good that I did it, but…. yeah there is a but to all of this. I have to get my mind ready to do it again tomorrow. Wah!! But I guess I can’t complain though. the scale is finally down to 161 which means that I am officially 1 pound away from my goal weight!! So, I guess there is an upside to this exercise thing, right? Hopefully this Sunday I will get on my scale and it will read 160!!! I am praying and working for it all this week and when I hit it I will be so ready to do a happy dance and then it will be on to the next goal. Which is toning and shedding off 5 more pounds to see if I lose a little bit more in my abdomen area.
Well, I am off to get dinner ready for my family now. I hope that you all enjoy your day and if you have a love/hate relationship with exercise please tell me!

Hi Natasha,
I was glad to hear from you yesterday. I didn’t actually think you’d read my posting and really get back to me. I was pleasantly surprised and I need all the support I can get. I just pray everyday to God for support & that I’ll be able to get trough this difficult road to recovery from being overweight. I’ve received my nutrtsystem kit of food and I’m thinking “Now what?” I’m truly scared to death of failing on another diet that I think I’m setting myself up for failure. I’ve taken little baby steps by going to the gym 2-3 times a week. It hurts like HELL while I’m working out but it feels so good afterward. Like you said in your comment about exercise the next day you feel like an old lady. That’s why I try to go every other day to recover from the day before. I hope you don’t feel like I’m using you as some type as crutch and that I’m annoying you with my weight issues. I know you don’t know me but I’m just trying to get support in all the right places since I know you’ve already done nurtisystem. Opening the door again to another diet can be scary. I hope and pray that I’m successful this time. I keepin the faith, girl that I will succeed. Any tips about starting the program and sstaying with it let me know. Thanks again.
Ingrid
Ingrid,
That is way cool that you received your first shipment of you Nutrisystem foods!! I remember my excitement when I received that first box!!
Now, you are not being a crutch at all. Feel free to treat me at your NS cheerleader. I love to see people’s progress and it will be a journey of challenges and success, but the important thing to remember is that end goal, and that is a new and healthier you.
So, far it seems that you are already off to a great start with exercising 2-3 days a week. Just remembers the following:
1. maintain you exercise. That will help slim you down and build lean muscles that will in turn burn off more fat and pounds.
2. drink the recommend amount of 64 ounces of water a day. And, if you are like me and don’t like water that much go pick up those Crystal Light mixes. They are only 5 calories and comes in lemonade, fruit punch and other flavors!!
3. Follow the food plan NS lays out for you. They make it very easy and if you come across some foods that you don’t like don’t hesitate to call NS and ask is you can exchange the unused foods for the foods you like too.
I hope that helps get you off to a great start. Also create profile on nutrisystem’s website and check out the support form. I got there sometimes to get support of support other fellow members too! If you go my profile name is nhop1976. I can’t wait to see you there.
Have a great day!!!
