To achieve pure weight loss you need to lose the fat in your body. The objective in doing this is to keep the muscle and burn the fat. In the few short paragraphs below you’ll discover how you can keep the muscle you have and burn that unwanted fat.
Let me warn you, this is going to take effort on your part. No pill is going to do it for you. Although these pills can help in your battle to lose weight, they should in no way shape or form be the end all to reaching pure weight loss.
I bet you would never guess but there is a secret to sustained fat loss. It comes in the form of a healthy diet and exercise. Listen, I realize this is not what you wanted to hear. I mean really, most of us would rather pull our toenails out than do a little exercise or diet for that matter. Relax, it is not as bad as you may be thinking, actually it is much easier than you may expect.
Let me be clear, I am not suggesting that you do wind sprints for an hour straight. On the contrary, your body will begin to burn it’s fat stores after 16 minutes, give or take a minute or two. In most cases it relies on the individual. In the first fifteen minutes your body will be utilizing it’s carbohydrate stores. You will want to exercise beyond this point for at least ten minutes to make sure you have dipped into your body’s fat stores.
What you need to keep in mind is that you don’t want to burn muscle. The muscle is important because it is what burns the calories. As your body loses muscle, so does it’s ability to burn more calories. It is a good idea to build a little muscle to burn more of the fat. Can you see why crash diets are such a horrible idea now? These diets kill the body’s ability to burn away fat which is exactly what we want.
Let me just state that if you are not getting the results you desire quickly, do not let yourself get down. This is more normal than you would suspect. If your following a pure weight loss regimen involving eating right and exercise to build a little muscle, your body will be exchanging muscle for fat in the early stages. It is imperative that you stay positive and even though the weight may not be coming off, you may still notice that you clothes are fitting better.
Another thing you need to consider it to try other things than just aerobic activity. It is a good idea to work a little weight training into the picture also. Weight lifting will boost your metabolism if it begins to level off. Always keep in mind that muscle burns fat.

Weight Loss News November 21st, 2008
Those with eating disorders at higher risk for substance abuse
Earlier this year we saw a flurry of news reports about an increasing trend among college women to skip meals and save calories so they can drink alcohol without worrying about gaining weight.
Alarm bells went off and many parents began questioning their daughters about this dangerous combination of binge drinking and self-starvation. Whether to classify this behavior as an eating disorder remains up for debate. What is certain, however, is that eating disorders and substance abuse are often linked.
Consider these statistics from a groundbreaking study released in 2003 by The National Center on Addiction and Substance Abuse at Columbia University:
• Individuals with eating disorders are up to five times more likely to abuse alcohol or illicit drugs.

Water Make you Lose Weight
Many people need to lose some weight, that’s a fact. Look around where people gather, you’ll notice the fat. Don’t laugh. Unfortunately you’re likely to see it in the mirror too. If you’ve made fast weight loss your goal, keep a few simple things in mind to lose the pounds quickly and safely.
When people want to lose weight one of the most common things they do is to skip meals. Hey, if eating fewer calories is the goal then why not skip breakfast or lunch. Doesn’t weight loss come with eating less calories? That’s correct but skipping meals isn’t the right way to reduce calories. Your body thinks it’s being starved when you skip meals. It goes into “starvation” mode. It starts to retain fat to counteract what it perceives as being starved. Another problem with skipping meals is that when you finally eat you’ll be a lot more hungry. This could lead to binge eating. Skipping meals is the worst of both worlds that results in gaining even more weight. Don’t do it.

Bodybuilding supplements are substances taken by athletes involved in weight training or other sports to aid in the building of lean muscle mass or to cause fat loss.
Bodybuilding supplements may also be used to improve sports performance and improve recovery from events and training. One important distinction exists in many weight training groups between supplements and anabolic steroids. There is a common misconception among non-supplement-users that supplementation for muscle-building purposes is the same as steroid use or, at the very least, leads to steroid use. If you need more detail information you can check this link bodybuilding fitness supplement
Guide to choose best supplement for bodybuilding supplement:
Before you go on to understand the different varieties of supplements, remember that you must buy the supplement that can help you achieve your bodybuilding goals. If you choose the wrong supplement, it will not work. Now, here are the hottest, in-vogue bodybuilding supplements that must be considered for legitimate bodybuilding needs.
Creatine
Creatine is primarily used to beef up on muscle mass and to increase strength. But creatine has other benefits too – it wards off tiredness, combats muscle atrophy (muscle waste), decreases cholesterol and boosts metabolism, helping your body to burn fat faster.
Nitric Oxide
Nitric oxide is another important bodybuilding supplement that helps in delivering nutrients to muscle cells by increasing blood circulation. In other words, nitric oxide helps build muscular mass. More muscular mass then helps develop weight-lifting capacities. Apart from this primary benefit, this supplement also helps control blood pressure and boosts the immune system. Many bodybuilders claim that it also increases their urge to make love.
Proteins
Proteins are one of the most essential part of a bodybuilder’s diet. There is no substitute for them when it comes to building muscles and body mass. Proteins are amino acids that can help build a muscular body and help maintain it. Experts recommend that if proteins are to be effective bodybuilding agents, they must be taken in conjunction with carbohydrates. Protein made from whey is considered as one of the most effective bodybuilding protein.
Finally, the majority of the best legal bodybuilding supplements are reviewed frequently by fitness magazines and also by professional bodybuilders. If you are considering taking these supplements, then reading opinions and reviews published in these magazines will do you a whole lot of good. You will be able to figure out which supplement will work best for you and then can go on to develop a brand new muscular body that you can proudly flaunt. Hey all, what a week last week trying to get back into weight loss mode and eating healthy again. I had some struggles like trying not to eat late at night. Man! It was had, because I was getting hungry so fast because my body was used to eating whatever it wanted whenever. So, the hungry was expected. Other than that the exercise surprisingly was fun to do again too!
So, what are my results from my hard work? Well, I am down -2lbs this week!! Yeah! I am happy with that and can’t wait to see more loss next week too. I am really going to discipline my eating over thanksgiving. I will enjoy, but at moderation. Here what I have ingrained in my head for thanksgiving:
- I will drink all 64oz of water to avoid over eating
- I will eat my 5 meals that day to avoid eating too much at thanksgiving dinner
- I will have dessert, but make a choice and eat smaller portions. This way I will feel like I am not depriving myself
- I will workout the morning of thanksgiving while my turkey is roasting way in the oven.
- I will go for a post thanksgiving walk after dinner to burn off extra calories too.
I feel that by setting these goals in my mind a head of time I will not fail myself and have a successful weigh in next week Monday. What are you going to do? Have you thought about your thanksgiving day strategy if you are currently try to loose weight? You should so that you will not sabotage you awesome successes.
Anyway, I am out for now. My son is off from school for thanksgiving break and he wants to play Jedi’s and I need to hop my butt on the elliptical fast!!
Chat later,

The general public should consume foods that are high in antioxidants, but they first need to understand what herbal antioxidants are and what health benefits they offer.
Antioxidants are essential to one’s overall health and well being. Antioxidants are phytochemicals, vitamins and other nutrients that protect the body’s cells from damage that is caused by free radicals. These free radicals are atoms or groups of atoms with an odd number of electrons and which are formed when oxygen interacts with certain molecules.
The antioxidants can safely interact with free radicals and they work by terminating the chain reaction before any vital molecules in the body are damaged.
Since a variety of foods contain high amounts of antioxidants and are also nutritious, it is better to use food and not supplements to raise antioxidant levels. Dietary supplements are not as nutritionally effective as antioxidant-rich real foods. Surprisingly, many such foods are rather tasty to boot.
Foods high in antioxidants include berries, broccoli, tomatoes, garlic, spinach, tea, carrots, soy, whole grain, red grapes, and cabbage. Foods that contain elevated levels of antioxidants are at present wonder foods of choice, it ought to remain this way due to the fact that these foods are what will promote peoples high levels of health.
Foods with high amounts of antioxidants are very healthy because, among other things, they fight off free radicals. They also help to provide a person with the nutrition that they need by offering them the right vitamins and minerals.
Any fruit or vegetable that has a bright color is also high in antioxidants, also certain foods like blueberries or chocolate are even higher in dietary antioxidants and are incredibly nutritious, but also high in oxalic acid. Because oxalic acid binds to some other valuable nutrients and makes them not available for digestion, this can be harmful to the body.
It is important for people to pack foods high in antioxidants into their diet to increase lifespan and the overall quality of life.

When you become truly self motivational you realize that success is not a destination it is something within you. It is the self motivational attitude that you take to every aspect of your life. Not just the big things but the every day mundane things to. Success is not something you grab a hold of, pin down then show off as some kind of trophy which some less than self motivational people have come to view it. Successful people don’t just achieve success they live it on a daily basis. Many definitions of success describe it as a journey. However I believe it is more than a journey and is in fact a life style and indeed a self motivational life style choice.
Success leaves clues, here is a list of some of the success clues to look for:
1 Focused on worthy goals
2 Self motivational to work towards them (not just looking for short cuts)
3 Pushing for high standards but not bogged down in seeking perfection
4 Seeing the big picture while attending to the detail
5 Persistence is the self motivational watchword
6 Balancing the need for big step change with incremental improvement
7 Holding the gains in success not backsliding into old behaviours
8 Helping others, particularly less fortunate, set and achieve their goals
9 Commitment to delivering on promises
10 Knowing that your goal is still there after the buffeting storms subside
11 Not surrendering control to others by losing your temper
12 Seeing hate and abuse from others as a gift you choose not to accept from them
13 Refuse to acknowledge failure and see it as a learning experience
14 Forge alliances with those who will commit to supporting your goals
15 Knowing that everyone has within them the resources to achieve their goals
16 Realizing that success is a self motivational choice you make not made for you
17 Seeing money as a scorecard to the energy you create in the world not success itself
18 Respect others and their vision of success even when you can’t agree with them
19 Living in the now and valuing every moment of every day
20 Valuing health as the great generator for a self motivational and successful life style
To be self motivational and adopt a success lifestyle you need to be a detective looking for clues. My list above is not meant to be comprehensive but merely a starting point to begin your quest. To get some further clues have a look at this self motivational booklist I compiled.
