That is cool! She is sweet!

Angela,

I totally feel you about the scale moving in the wrong direction and hurting your feelings. I was bad yesterday, It was my birthday, and now my scale is up a bit too.

To answer your question the first week I was hungry. Just think your body was used to eating i.e. 2200 calories a day and now you are reducing your caloric intake to 1200 or 1300. You body will feel like it is starving but after a week I was okay. Because in order to lose weight you must reduce what is going in to see that scale move down. You kinda understand that? I agree on the chocolate especially around the time of the month. Yikes!! I go crazy. I did incorporate sugar free and low fat ice creams to help with my sweet teeth from time to time and I also found a few recipes that are low in sugar too. You are right about the water as well. That is a must for sure girl.

I don't mind at all chatting back to ya my friend and definitely let me know if you decided to order.

Have a great week :)

Hey Natasha,
Yep Regina lives in Austin (I'm in P'Ville) so we're all in
basically the same "hood"...She told me to tell you hello.
She's my girl...one of the best people I know. So back to N.S.
I think I'm going to give it a go, I guess I'm just a little
personally skeptical about the whole sugar-regulation thing that NS
really promotes...I've chatted with some of their Cust service
reps with the question: "Why couldn't I just restrict myself to
lean cuisines or SmartOnes" and get the same result? Also, I have
the added challenge of having
hypothyroidism. But seeing the scale move in the wrong direction lately
has hurt my feelings enough to consider expanding my mindset! Question:portion
wise, did you find yourself dying for supplemental food? i.e. were you
hungry a lot? My downfall is my sweet tooth as it relates to dark
chocolate and I found if I stay away from bread I tend to do a little
better. Also, drinking tons of water seems to be key as well.
Thanks for getting back with me. I'll let you know if I proceed with my order.

Hi Angela,

Way to go with your weight loss through WW. I have a few girlfriends of mine that love WW and had great success like you. Although, I have never been on the WW program, but I have tried some of their entrees in the store and they taste wonderful!! (I use them when I don't feel like cooking. lol.

Now, the Nutrisystem 28 day program is very realistic to lose 10 pounds that you are looking for. A friend of my in the neighborhood did it for the same reason you are thinking and she did great!! I am just thinking the first month I was on NS I lost 14 pounds, so you will be fine.

You can continue your weight training on the program, however a weight loss counselor may recommend that you add another serving of protein since you are working out more than the average person. Weight training is awesome because the more lean muscle you build the more fat you will burn which equal more weight loss too. I am weight training too and I have a goal to loss 5-10 more pounds landing me at 150 or 155. My doctor says that is a great range for me to stay in.

Okay, does Regina H. live in Texas? If so, she is so sweet and man I need to give her a call to see how she is doing. well, I hope this helps you with your decision you are making and if you have more questions please feel free to chat back!

Holla! :)

Natasha,
Ran across your site quite on accident. A current Weight Watcher
"Life time Member" I started that program and lost nearly 30
pounds. I kept almost all of it off for the past 3 years until
about 6 months ago when I decided to weight train...Bam, weight
increased almost 5 pounds almost immediately and then 5 more pounds
showed up!. A former athlete
I recognize that when you lift your body does have a tendency
to retain water to 'cool' the muscles, so I kept at it. I'm
in 8/10's and am 5'10. My goal was to stay in 8's but those bad
boys are starting to get a little snug. I'm considering the program
to help me 'get my mind right'. From everything I read, 10 pounds
sounds pretty doable on the 28 day plan-do you recommend I lay
off the strength training during this timeframe to realize the
weightloss results I'm looking for? Also, did you ever try WW?
If so, I'd be curious to hear about your experience with that
program. BTW, turns out you and I have a mutual friend. One of
my best girls, Regina H is godmother to my daughters. She sent
me a copy of your success story about a year ago...but at the
time I was so happy with WW I stuck with it. Right now though,
I'm open to a change. Holla back!

to jump start those 10 pounds (+5) back
