I am so glad my cardio is done for today!! I feel great and accomplished. What did I do? I am step diva so Cathe Fredrich was my friend tonight for 30 minutes and then I did 14 minute ab workout on the exercise channel on cable. So what were my eats?

  1. Meal 1: Protein Shake and banana
  2. Meal 2: large leafy salad with feta cheese, grilled shrimp and veggies
  3. Meal 3: 5 crackers with laughing cow cheese, and strawberries
  4. Meal 4: chicken & green beans
  5. Meal 5: skinny cow ice cream sandwich

I feel good and I am ready for tomorrow. I think my workout will be a blast from the past which is the biggest loser workout with Bob! When I do that DVD I feel like Bob is right in my living room. Don’t be jealous, lol..

Well, I am off to get some rest. Good night :)

Okay, I have been eating very healthy for this week and man I am so tired of going to the bathroom. Do you all go through that too? I swear I was pregnant, but I am not. My body must have been retaining so much water to the point of no end and now it is flushing out like crazy! I am glad because I am tired of feeling puffy and seeing the cellulite on my thighs. Yuck!

I have been exercising. Yesterday I did 30 minutes of the elliptical, I almost forgot I own one for a while, lol. Then I also did 15 minutes on ads. Today I am debating on doing step aerobics or tae bo amped? I don’t know, but one of these will be completed for sure. No excuses. Tressa like you I will be a cardio queen to shed off this excess fat! Of course I will add my weight training in there too because that also helps burn fat much faster.

Well, nothing else new to report so, I am out!!

Why is it so hard. .  Or why do our minds make it so difficult to get back on track from the holiday eating splurges? Yesterday was day one and man was it hard. I swear I wanted to eat everything in site. Is it because my mind and body was craving more sugar and salt from the weekend? Geez! This is what yesterday looked like for me:

Tuesday Day 1:

  1. Meal 1: Protein Shake and banana
  2. Meal 2: Fish and cabbage
  3. Meal 3: 5 slices of cheese and 5 crackers (what?)
  4. Meal 4: Chicken and cabbage
  5. Meal 5: protein bar, orange, cheese, 2 slices of wheat bread (what is the deal here?)
  6. Exercise: 40 minutes of cardio (step) and 10 minutes abs

I am disappointed with meal 5. What was I thinking? Was I craving carbs? Help? This is funny that I am asking for help, but I should know what to do right? I guess I just need to do it.

Wednesday Day 2:

  1. Meal 1: shake with banana (my fav!!)
  2. Meal 2: turkey sausage, cabbage, and orange
  3. Meal 3: downhill from here, 300 cal in lays potatoes crisps, 200 cal pb&j sandwich– what the h.e.1.1.!!
  4. Meal 4: I am grossed out and what I ate that I am not hungry
  5. Meal 5: will be chicken, cabbage, and almonds
  6. Exercise 30 minute of Tae Bo Amped. Done !! After that workout I feel a little better and when I return from work later tonight with energy I will workout more on the elliptical for 25 more minutes.

I just feel gross, blotted, fat and frustrated with myself today from this past weekend mistakes. So, what is a resolution from this problem? I think instead of working out mon-Thursday and giving myself the weekend off (big mistake) I will work out Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday, so that I will not blow away my hard work over the weekend. I am thinking if I get back to working out on the weekend my mind will be set to eat on plan and not slip up.

Am I think only one that go through this from time to time? Maintenance is not easy at times for me too. Sometimes I just want to eat everything and not work out at all, but if I do that I will be were I started which is back at 225lbs and I will not do that because I love the way I look now and I really love the way I look and feel at 150/155 which is 5-10 below my Nurtisystem goal weight of 160. So I need to get to working and stop this pity party now. !60’s here I come and 150’s shortly after that!

Okay, I think I set the record on how much weight one can gain back in two days. I started this holiday weekend at 170.5 and now today I weight 175. What the #@*@*/?????? We had house parties to go to and family fun this weekend and I think I lost myself a little too much, ya think? I really need some cyber picks in the you know what. I feel like stay puff marshmallow man today with a serious food hang over.

So what’s my cure. Exercise, clean eating and lots and lots of water. I am sure much of the weight gain is water so I will not get myself mad, but dang it! I was so close to my first goal that I could taste it and now I have to rework my plan again. So if any of you all out there trying to lose weight don’t follow my bad example this past weekend. It’s tough seeing the results and then let one or two bad decisions can ruin the week of hard exercise and healthy eating.

I just returned form the grocery store and I got all of my meals ready for the rest of the week. Tomorrow, will be detox day!! Boy will I be a cranky woman for a bit, but I got to get back fast!! Well, I am off to get some sleep. I hope that you all are dong better than I am and I will chat later.

Today I am feeling alright! The weather is beautiful here in Austin, TX. I woke up a little groggy, but I manage to get up and play with my son, cook breakfast, and was ready to read to the park to play before the fun trip to the grocery store.

My son and I had a great time running around and climbing up ladders and pretending to be firemen on each playscapes. I can’t believe how fast he is growing already. He is 4 1/2 years old and here are his stats:

  1. height: 4 feet
  2. weight: 58lbs (lean and mean, lol) He’s says he’s the Hulk. ha ha
  3. shoe size: 1
  4. And Very Cute, hee hee :)

we played at the park for an hour and decided to go to our local store and stock up on healthy choices for us all for the week. I am so proud of myself because I decided to go green and purchase the reusable grocery bags at H-E-B. My son loves them because they are the same color as the incredible hulk and I love them because I don’t have to worry about them darn plastic bags anymore!

Well, anyway. . . You all are probably wanting to know my progress. Well, I finally decided to hop on my dreadful scale and I weight 170.5! Which is great!! I am a 1/2 closer to my goal and soon I will be sporting my Michael Kors sunglasses. Yeah!!

My training and meal plan for today will be:

  1. Meal1: protein shake and banana
  2. Meal2: grilled chicken with salad
  3. Meal3: yogurt and banana
  4. Meal4: have to work tonight so lean cuisine chicken fettuccine and green beans
  5. Meal5: protein bar
  6. Training: 40 minutes of step aerobics and 10 minutes abs

How are you all doing today? Are you where you want to be? Are you continuing to make the effort to get where you want to be? I hope so because the hard work and dedication does pay off in the long run and for pete sake summer time is almost here!! Let;s get lean and sexy together!! Chat later!  it’s lunch time. . . Must feed child, lol.

I notice a lot of us here are needing some motivation to help our minds to move forward. We all need to put any despair behind us and let it go. If we don’t we can’t move forward and achieve whatever goal it may be. So everyone including myself whatever is keeping you from your dreams and goals read this quote and get moving forward!

have a successful day!

What this power is I cannot say; all I know is that it exists and it becomes available only when a man is in that state of mind in which he knows exactly what he wants and is fully determined not to quit until he finds it.

*Correction: the amount of plastic water bottles I wasted last year was 672 not 960, but that doesn’t make it better huh? I am trying though. Here is the link to my previous post about the Camelbak BPA Free Better Bottle with Classic Cap - 32Oz./1.0L bottle. The version I purchased was the Camelbak Polycarbonate Better Bottle - 32Oz./1.0L. I love this bottle so much and would recommend it to everyone. Now after thinking about it. I am not too sure if the bottle I purchase was BPA free, but needless to say I am helping the environment and not wasting anymore plastic water bottle anymore!

Well, I am off to drink more water and get healthier!

I finally think I broke my small plateau! You know how your body gets in a routine and sometimes we just need to switch things up a bit to get the body to lose more fat? Well, tonight was the night I decided to do something different. My DH always go bike riding in our neighborhood. Not you wimpy stroll around the block, but up and down hill biking at different speeds for a duration of 50 minutes to 1 hours.

So, I though, hum. . . maybe I should give it a try and see if that breaks my little plateau? I went to the nearest store a bought an low end bicycle and called my DH at work and told him that I would like to join him for his workout tonight and he was sooo excited!! I that one wanted to go and two our son is with grandpa for 2 nights which gives us the opportunity to ride together.

Holy cow what a workout!! I was sweating like crazy and my quads were on fire. I workout very regularly, but this riding kicked my butt. I loved riding outdoors, but now my butt is sore because my seat it a bit too small, lol. I need to get a bigger or more comfortable one in the future.

Now I have been debating to hop on my scale tomorrow or Saturday to see where the number truly lies for my progress report. Stay tuned!! Well, I am getting ready to go to bed and rest. I hope that you all have a great weekend and I will chat later!

I just had to post his quote from Norman Vincent Peale.  Sometimes, we defeat ourselves before even trying. Like today, I was like I am too tired to exercise and really I am not, but just being lazy. If I want to accomplish my goal of getting lean I must change the way I think in order for it to happened. of course our lives are busy and sometimes we are mentally exhausted and even physically too, but in order to keep in shape you have got to fit the time in, right? Anyway, enjoy! Also if you have an awesome quote to share that gets you motivated to accomplish things in your life please post and share with us all.

Any fact facing us is not as important as our attitude toward it, for that determines our success or failure. The way you think about a fact may defeat you before you ever do anything about it. You are overcome by the fact because you think you are.

- Norman Vincent Peale
