The day is coming to an end and I am proud to say that I did 2 of the three things I had plan to do today.
- I did 15 minutes on my elliptical, 30 minutes of step aerobics and 15 minutes working the biceps and triceps today!!
- drank 64 ounces of water
As far as the food I had a struggle with calories, but not too bad. So I will work on that tomorrow. I can’t believe how getting out of a routine for 2 weeks can make the body feel that it is out of shape. For real!! My legs felt like led poles, lol.
Well, I am off to make sure that I recorded the biggest loser tonight so that I can watch it in the morning to chat with you all about. Have a great night

Not much. I had a great weekend with friends and family maybe too much fun with dining out two days in a row, Thursday and Friday with burgers and Mexican food. So when Saturday came I knew it was time to eat clean again so my body would not become addicted to the salty food. Then Sunday came and I continued to eat great with an exception to a book club I attended to discuss the Ice Queen by Alice Hoffman. The food selection was not bad actually pretty healthy with asparagus wrapped with bacon, shrimp, bruchetta with olive oil, mozzarella cheese and cherry tomatoes, wine, and etc. I did eat good which I am proud of and I had a great time.
The only thing I need to get back on is exercise and today will be my start off day for that. I think I will be doing Tae bo amped since I haven’t done that in a while and I can give my knees a rest from step aerobics I mainly accomplished last week. Have I exercised yet? I sure feel like I did. So, far I have been doing laundry, cleaning my kitchen out. It is a MESS!! I got the counter tops cleared off and they will get a thorough clean. Later I have to run to home depot. I can’t believe I am saying that, but I have to get some “L” brackets to hang up my son’s valance I made a months ago. After that we will head off to Michaels or hobby lobby so that I can work on a new center piece for the kitchen or dining room. We will see if I have enough energy to do everything, lol.
Later on I will get ready to watch the biggest loser to see what will be the change this week. From what I remembered they may not be on team anymore? So, this will be interesting.
Well, I better get back to working around this house and playing with my son. .

I have to say last week was a great week. I got in the exercise I want and I am seeing the results in my cloths and scale. Today I hopped on and saw a good number and I can’t wait to keep progressing to my goal. I am also proud of myself because I ate healthy at work and instead of taking a break in the breakroom and sitting on my butt for 1 hour I decided to get up and go walking at a near by outdoor outlet mall since the weather was beautiful today. I believe the weather was almost 80 degrees here, so I had a blast with my brisk walk and window shopping at clothes and shoes.
Later today after work I returned home to watch some of the red carpet events with the Oscars and then decided to complete my 30 minute workout with Jari’s DVD. I am tired as hell, but I feel good! I also feel good because the family order pizza hut and I did not eat one piece instead I ate my healthy choice entree. It was one of the new cafe steamers collection called Merlot beef. It was so yummy and the beef was ever so tender!! I will be buying that again!!
In a bit I will get ready to curl up in the bed and read for a little. I am reading the Ice Queen by Alice Hoffman. It is a very interesting fictional book and it keeping me intrigued to read more and I better because the girls and I will be meeting to discuss this book this weekend. Yikes!! I better read FAST!!!

What am I up to this week? So far this is the best week that I am really focused moving toward the 160 mark before the end of March. So far I have worked out 3 days this week and I will add in workouts for today and Saturday to keep up the great work. May plan for today is to:
- Finish the second half (30min) of Jari Love’s Get Ripped 1000. Let me tell you I did the first 30 minutes on Tuesday and my butt is literally sore as you know what, but it feels good. I just hope my left knee is feeling a little better because I was playing around with my son earlier this week and moved it the wrong way and now it hurts a bit to do anything on the step bench.
- 10 minutes on the elliptical
- 30 minute walk/jog with my friend later this evening before Lipstick Jungle comes, lol.
- I will continue to hydrate myself with the good old h2o. believe it is important especially for the skin. Did I tell you I got a new cut and color last week Tuesday and I tried a new spritz by Matrix and it literally broke out my skin and left it dry and scaly? So, now I am using any hydrating skin product from Sephora that I can get my hands on. So far I am loving Murad’s Resurgence Renewing Cleansing Cream, Bliss Steep Clean Mask, Cosmedicine’s Hydra Healer for night, and Ole Henriksen’s Walnut Complexion Scrub from Sephora.com (it’s great to work there because I can sample anything!!). Skin feel so smooth!!!
- Eat balance meals in order to avoid cravings.
I am so glad there is not any celebrating of the sort with food right now because I need this time to get my mind set on eating healthy. So when the time does come for a celebrations like Easter I will be in the right mindset to eat and enjoy but with portion control too. Well I am off.
By the way, did I tell you all I started to author another blog? I love fashion and that is my background. I have a degree and in my twenties I worked in the industry for a well before having our son and all. I miss it so much, not the craziness and fast pace from the industry, but being immersed in whats going on and the in’s and out’s of fashion. The name of the blog is called fashioniche.com. Enough with the slacking from being sick. I am feeling better and ready to get back on the training tip today and there is no excuse because I am off from work. So, that means I can clean the house, play with my son, and workout with cardio and weights today and to get that started I will work out to my new fav Jari Love get ripped 1000. The one thing I will remember to do is increase my weights. What are you going to do today, tomorrow, or this week to improve yourself for this coming summer? If it is to eat healthy for 7 days straight to start a good habit do it!! Maybe a walk in the neighborhood for 20 minutes, do it!! What eve it is do it and feel proud that you did it!
later today I am going to the salon for the first time in years and have someone style my hair. I am so nervous and pray that everything turns out fabulous! If it does I will have DH post pics later tonight after the Biggest Loser goes off or early in the morning before work.

Yesterday I had such a great day with eating on track and exercise too, however late last night while I was reading I was coughing like a dog???? what the…. So I decided to shower and go to bed. Well when I woke up this morning I was coughing up a lung and now my chest and joints ache. Oh MAN!! To make matter worse I have to go into work tonight and I am praying I don’t have that many clients to work with. I may even try to come home a bit early if business is slow.
I was sick in January and I don’t want to get sick before Valentine’s Day!! Damn!! Sorry
I just had to vent. I had some fun workouts planned today, but the body is just not up for the mental challenge. The only thing I could do is eat my meals as planned which was:
- BSN protein shake
- BSN protein shake (no appetite really)
- yoplait banana cream pie yogurt
- Dinner will be salmon, green beans, and orange
- dessert if I have a appetite for one will be just graham crackers
To make sure I am not experiencing seasonal allergies again and I also popping some meds to play it safe too. Man, it funny how life works. When you mind is ready to work something gets in the way. I guess that how it work. Well, I better make myself look somewhat decent for work. I hope that all of you are doing well and I will chat later.

Hi all, its Tuesday and I am off from work and ready to put is a good days worth of workouts. My plan after I return from the mall with my son (You know he is so ready to play at the inflatable playland, so I better make this quick, hee hee
) I will workout to Jari again to burn of 1000 cals then later before the biggest loser comes on tonight I will hop on the elliptical for another 15 minutes. I love Jari’s DVD because I get a total body workout with weights, yip, yipee!!
Anyway, I have been doing well and maintaining my loss I just need to move forward to 160. I am 6 pounds aways to my first goal and I just need to stay focused.
What are you all doing for valentines day? If babysitting plans don’t fall through we will be going out to a quiet dinner together and I really need to watch what I eat and then go to the main event and have fun bowling!! Bowling is a great way to burn off some of the dinner that i will be eating. I made plans to have my hair cute and style that week too, so I am praying I love it and if I do I will share it with you all.
Well, I better go and order my BSN and had out to the mall. Have a great day ya’ll!!

Man I am feeling good this week! My workouts and eating have been 100% to plan and the scale is rewarding me for that. I got on the scale this morning and I saw 166 which is great!! I am getting closer to hitting my first goal of 160. What have I been going? Well that Jari Love Get ripped 1000!! That workout is fierce!! She does a total body workout kind of like circuit training with weights. OMG!! My entire body was sore. I like the fact that she breaks up the weight training with cardio in the mix, so as a result you do indeed burn a lot of calories. In a bit I will be hoping on the elliptical for a 15 minute cardio workout and then I will be working on my biceps, triceps, and abs.
I have nothing else planned today but to go into work tonight, huh. Other than that I will hang out with my son and make the most of today.

I just finished my workout for today! So now I can go into work feeling like I accomplished my fitness goals today. I did 31 minutes of core express from the tae bo amped series. After that I did:
- Biceps: 2 reps of 15 with 10lbs/ 1 reps of 15 with 20lbs
- Triceps: 3 reps of 15 with 10lbs
- Arnold press: 2×15 with 10lbs
I also had the clean the family room and vacuum, boring. In a second I have to prepare dinner for the boys and then I will be off to work. Oh yeah, I am doing well with my eating too. I ate:
- breakfast burrito: 1 egg, 1/2 jenny O sausage, and orange
- Lunch: lean cuisine pizza, salad
- snack: Yogurt, 1/2 banana
- Dinner: Lean turkey sloppy joes on whole wheat buns, salad, orange
- Dessert: watch watcher chocolate muffin
Well, I am going to start making dinner and hang out with my little guys before getting into the shower and made up for work.

It’s after noon and I already got my workout in for today. Last night I was able to completely finish my leg workout so I did it today on my bowflex. I did:
- leg extensions : 130lbs 4 reps
- hamstring curls: 110lbs 4 reps
- squats with 10lbs weights in hand
- 15 minutes of abs work on a stability ball
- 5 minutes of cardio on the elliptical. ( I will try to do more cardio after I return from work at least 15 more minutes, ugh!)
My meal plan:
- Breakfast: south beach wrap with egg and turkey sausage, orange (300 calories)
- Lunch: Lean cuisine pizza and salad(370 calories)
- Snack: 100 calories pack of musketeers bar (I needed something sweet) (100 cals)
- Dinner: Chicken, cauliflower (250 calories)
- Dessert: Weight watcher brownie (190 cals)
- totals: approx 1300 calories
Water : 70 ounces
Tomorrow I will most likely kick up the cardio and complete Tae bo amped 40 minutes workout and lift with my upper body and Friday I will take the day off and relax.
