Hey all. I hope that you all had a safe and exciting time bringing in this New Year! I just relaxed at home because these darn cold or allergies are taking the best of me. Yesterday I was surprised that I did not pass out at work. I was sneezing and coughing, runny nose, and etc. Today I am still feeling under the weather and hope that I feel better otherwise I will have to call in sick today. I hate doing that, but my health is much more important.

I am excited to report that may scale is back at the pre-christmas numbers of 165!! If you don’t remember my scale was up to 170 after christmas and I decided to start my new years goal last Thursday! I know I was not suppose to hop on the scale until tomorrow, but I was so eager to see the number because my clothes was feeling lose again, Thank God! 5 pounds is not bad! Next week I know that I will be lose the same amount of weight, but as long as I see a loss I will be happy!

A s far as workouts today I have to keep it to a minimum because I am not feeling 100% so, I already workout my legs on the bowflex and then I will do at least 15-20 minutes of cardio on the elliptical before heading in to get my eyes examined for my contacts I have be longing to have again. I hate glasses!! I look like a dork in them, lol.

Photobucket I had a great Christmas this year!! The joy seeing the excited of our son open his gifts and seeing Santa and playing so hard with all of the new goodies from us and relatives. I am so excited to report that I did get the iPod nano 8GB, Silver for Christmas and my hubby downloaded my favorites songs to it so that I can have 45 minutes of workout music. So I am excited to play that and workout.

How am I feeling after the holidays? Very Beefy and FAT!! lol :) I hopped on the scale for the truth and the scale is way up. Yikes!! I am not panicking, but I thought I was going to wait until Jan 1st to start my plan and workouts, but not anymore!! My scale is at a whopping 170!! I know it is a lot of water retention from TOM, and eating a lot of food high in sugar and sodium, so I will not stress too much. But I figure way wait? I have all of my health foods and supplements ready to drop fat and get lean. Thursdays willnow become my new weigh in day every week and I will post how I am doing moving towards my goal of 160 and then 150.

So with that said I am going to get ready to eat my second meal of the day with will be turkey breast, greens and a orange and gulp down that water and get moving on that elliptical. Later today I will be posting my New Years resolutions. Have you thought about yours yet? If so, what are they? I you haven’t go ahead and think about and be realistic too.

Well, I am over half way through my challenge and only lost 1 pound. It’s hard sometimes when you have the best intentions. The Holidays rolls around and there is always something yummy to eat and I fall for it most of the time. Why is that? I don’t know? I guess I do I love the taste of different food!! The only saving grace for me is the cardio workouts I do to keep that 1 pound of (Right now I am 164 and I want to be 160, and then 155) 4 pounds is not hard I done it before! But what is the deal here? I am a SLACKER!!! Today I am going to clean my mind and negative thoughts and continue to my goal for the new year. I have received my new Oxyegen Mag and Shape too. So I will get some new workouts and inspiration going here.
I just returned from the grocery store and my fridge is again filled healthy choices and healthy snacks too. I got my menu planned and now I need to get my body ready for some good cardio. What am I eating today? Well…

  1. Meal 1: Cheerios (no fruit. I was out of fruit)
  2. Meal 2: 1 slice of cheese pizza and salad
  3. Meal 3: orange and string cheese
  4. Meal 4: Protein Shake
  5. Meal 5: trail mix

As far as my workouts? Just thinking about it makes me tired. I guess I didn’t sleep so maybe I will nap when my son does. Yeah right! But anyway I will:

  1. Continue strength training my upper body. Biceps curls and hammer curls, butterflies, bench press and the Arnold press too. Oh yeah, Abs!
  2. Cardio… cardio.. CARDIO!! Ugh.. But I will get it done. 30 minutes of step aerobics and 10-15 minutes on the elliptical I got last Friday!!

Then later I will get ready to watch the biggest loser. Who do you think is going home today? Will it be another blue team member or a black team member? Even though Neil was acting silly at the beginning of the season I hope he stays!! It’s time for a black team member to stay. What do you think?

ugh!! It is Monday and I finally got some good old cardio in this morning. However, I am kind of upset that I did not lift as much as I intended to do. I wanted to work on my bicep, triceps, lat, back, chest, and abs, but all I got a chance to do it lats, rows, triceps. I was busy playing with my son which is not a bad thing, then I was washing clothes, making dinner, and working on business papers and cleaning the kitchen before I leave for work at 3:30pm. I was supposed to be at work at 2;00pm, but our sitter is not available, darn it!! My dinner is almost done, but know I need to hop into the shower get my make up on. I work until 11:00pm tonight. I like my job at Sephora, but the hours are really getting to me. I miss being at home with my son, but I guess I will stop whining for now, huh? I just need to vent for a second. Things will get better because I know they will. Maybe if I have energy tonight I will work my biceps, chest and abs before going to bed.

Omg!! I realized that I have not got much exercise in these past few days and I need to get that in order fast!! Yesterday I worked at from 4pm to 12am Yikes!! When I got home DH was still up and we were talking and did not go to sleep until 2am them 4 hours later our son woke up ready to play and I told him to just come into bed with us and go back to sleep. That’s bad, huh? I was just so tired. The today I got up and was trying to get the elliptical together so that when I get home from work I could exercise on it for the first time, but that did not happened either. I got home to eat dinner then played with our son and put more Christmas lights outside then it was time to get him ready for bed. Once I got Armie to bed and then DH and finished putting the elliptical together, Yey!!

So my plan in the morning is to hop on that baby and workout for 20 minutes and burn some calories, then when I return from work later I will lift hard working out my upper body and abs.

I tell you retail hours can really get to a person, but I will get over it for now. I am going to bed and get ready for another day. At least on Sunday night All of us at Sephora will be having a Sephora Christmas dinner at TGI Fridays and exchange gifts and that will be fun!!

Okay day 12 of my challenge and I cheated. I had Jack in the Box for dinner, I know, but I needed to get it out of my system before I binge really bad over the weekend and sabotage my weight loss from Thanksgiving. Even though I cheated I did jog for 2 miles with my girlfriend in the neighborhood, so I don’t feel too bad that my cardio was done today. Today i did take a day off from weight training and will resume tomorrow with more cardio and weights.

Today was fun though!! I managed to get my holiday shopping completed for my hubby and all I need to do tomorrow morning is click on Toys R us.com and pay for Arman’s Christmas toys and his cousin’s presents and I am all done with my holiday shopping!! Yahoooo! I am glad I do not have to step a foot inside Toys R us. People get crazy when the store is out of their selections or if someone else takes that last toy. Good grief, people just need to calm down.
Are you done with you Christmas shopping? How much more do you have to purchase? I hope not too much because the store will be getting crazy over the weekend and as it get closer to Christmas.

Ahhhh, what a nice quiet morning. My son is visiting with grandpa today so that I can get to work and also get my holiday shopping done for him too. I found everything online to buy for him so that I do not have to step a foot inside any toy store this year. Last year the Toys R Us was CRAZY!! And, I am not doing that again. NO WAY!! hee hee. Then I will be getting my hubby’s gift too. I want to tell you what I am getting him, but he reads this blog too and I would totally give it way, lol. Are you finished with you holiday shopping yet? what type of things do you have to buy? We still need to go to the store next Tuesday and get my ELLIPTICAL!!! YAHOOOOOOO!!! I will have one. We where going to get it this weekend, but I don’t want to be inside the store this weekend. So, during the week the store should be slower without the holiday traffic, plus we will both be home to use DH’s truck to take it home.

Anyway, I just finished my yummy health breakfast and in a few minutes since I only lift weight yesterday and did not achieve any cardio ( I know.. Bad girl!!) I will do 45-60 minutes of cardio. I have too. It is important to do it order to shed FAT!!  So with that said, I am off to day that before I start to go crazy surfing the web for new findings.

Tosca Reno, Oxygen’s fabulous 40 something columnist (she looks great for being in her 40’s!!), is the author of The Eat-Clean Diet and new book coming out soon called The Eat-Clean Diet Workout book. She is very inspiring and physically fit for her age. The name of this article is called I’m coming clean where she shares very personal issues that her readers have been asking her. People have been asking her if she has had cosmetic surgery to enhance her body. She says that she hasn’t had liposuction, face lift, tummy tuck, fat grafting at all. However the one thing she admits having done was her breast.

The reason why she explains, “Training hard and eating clean 364 days of the year took a toll on my former 36-B bust line. I kept my body lean and traded away cleavage while I was building curves- a shapely quad sweep: higher, tighter gluts and more. I enjoyed watching the transformation, but I did not like what happened up front. My boobs were floating in her bras.” She also goes on and says that, “this is common among fitness athletes. When you eat clean and training regularly, things get smaller, including the breast. Most of the women you see in the pages of Oxygen have had similar adjustment made because they too keep their bodies so lean. In fact breast augmentation is the most common plastic surgery procedure in North America today. Since breast are mostly fatty tissue they are the first to go when the body becomes lean….”

Can some of you out relate to this issue after losing weight or training? I know I can. I remember at 225lbs by bust size was a 42D and after the weight loss I am at 34b cup which is too small and a 34C is better, but my girls will not even fill the cup. :( I also fail to tell you that when I was at my heaviest I was also nursing too so my breast inflated to an DD. So now they are sagging and lower that they should be. Even when I where a push up bra the girls don’t hold up they sink. (double boo hoo :( ) Can you relate? Have any of you corrected the problem and decided to get a breast lift or augmentation? If so, I would like to now:

  1. The cost?
  2. recovery time?
  3. Are the any follow ups to maintain the implants?
  4. Will the implants have to be replace after a certain amount of time and will it be an additional cost?

The reason why I would like to know is that I am seriously thinking about having the procedure done on my self. I have talked seriously with my husband and he says if that is what I want then go for it, however I know the cost is high and I want to save up for it and have to ability to afford to stay at home during the recovery process. I know this may seem vain to some people, but to lose the weight and feel great physically, but not in the girls is kind of tormenting at times and it would be fabulous to display the bust area in a nice top without worrying if I could fill it. If you live in the Austin, Tx area and had the procedure done and are very pleased with your results, please let some comments of who are where you had the procedure done?

If you are like me too seriously do some research before jumping the gun to fast and make sure this is right for you. Within the next few weeks I will be doing some research myself and consulting with some physicians myself to find out if I want to go through this or not. The thought of surgery scares me. Also during this research I will share with you my findings.

It is so nice to see results after a week of eating clean, exercising and lifting!! I know I sound like a broken record, but it is. I can visually see the difference on my body and with my scale too. My clothes are fitting right again and I am starting to see more definition on my back and arms. Yey! A healthy lifestyle is so rewarding!!

Today I am feeling again sore from my weight training on Thursday and Friday. So, today I just did my cardio and 10 minutes of ab workouts. I could not do anymore because I am so exhausted from working 3-11pm and staying up until 2:00am this morning. Then I went to work from 11-7pm today. In a bit I am going to sleep because I have to get up early in the morning for work at 6:30am. Depending on how I feel tomorrow I may take a break from my cardio workout for the day and just lift weights. Tonight I was doing step aerobics and was just fatigued and moving slow..
I have got to stay focused so that I can reach my goal of 155 by Christmas. It’s not too unreal just 10lbs!! I was just watching extreme makeover on The style channel. I love that show!!The best part is the transformations people go through to improve imperfections. What also intrigues me is how the candidates that are selected for the show lose from 15-30lbs in 3-4 weeks and look AWESOME!! How in the world do they do that? Well I guess it helps to have fitness guru Michael Thurmmand to assist, huh? I sure wish I was on that Show they could give me a breast lift/augmentation and a tummy tuck and I would be on cloud nine!! What about you? I can’t believe I am saying this but I am sooooo glad to not have to work today. It was so slow on Wednesday night to the point of where I was cleaning and finding new eye shadow combinations to try by Urban Decay. Delphine help? I am becoming a make-up crazed chick. hee hee :) I want to try jones, heat (graffiti color), and roach together. When I get I will try to take pics. I am thinking of a warm tropical eye. I also want the deluxe shadow kit by them too. Yikes!!
Anyway, today is a typical day. After my son and I play, do a little school work. I found these cute activity books I bought a long while ago and he is now old enough to use them. We were reading, practicing letters and numbers together. Now he is playing on his computer while I chat.

Well my plan today is to again do Tae Bo Amped, the full throttle workout, which rocks!! Then I will workout my abs and start lifting. I will workout:

  1. Biceps curls and hammer curls
  2. Arnold press
  3. triceps
  4. lat pull downs
  5. rear deltoid rows
  6. Shoulder workouts too.

My meal plans the usual and then I will get ready to finish decorating the Christmas tree and clean our master bathroom today too. Well I am off to run errands and workout!
