It’s Friday!! How are you feeling after all of that Thanksgiving celebrating? Did you eat too much and ready to hit the gym? I know I am. Well, here is a fit tip that I am sure every woman would want to have which are perky breast. Ever since I lost the weight my chest lost every bit of perkiness I had. So, I am willing to try every trick in the fit tip book to achieve it.
I was browsing on Oxygen, I know that is one of my favorite fitness resources because they are full of great for training tips for us losing weight and leaning out the body. But they showed a great way to workout the chest area and get them firm. The movement looks tough, but the results will be awesome!! Check it out and give it a try. Instead of the traditional frame this site I found can display any of your favorite photos and custom print them on your pillow case, shower curtain, Photo Blankets, and even throw pillows too. I was like no way, but yes they can. I guess it would be a great gift for a family that has just had a new born baby, or a housewarming gift. Or, for you pet lovers out there it would be a great way to display you pet that has been in the family for many years onto a throw pillow to display in the house too.

I also found that this is the only site that offers custom shower curtains to display photo too. I was like shower curtains? What could you possibly place on there? Then I was thinking maybe a nice panoramic from your last tropical or Caribbean vacation. Check this out! This could also be a great way to complete some of that Christmas shopping and to avoid the after Thanksgiving rush.
I just had to share this article I found today because a lot of being have been asking me why is protein so important for weight loss and building muscles. So people say that protein will make you fat or they say I don’t have time to cook all of the protein suggested on a daily basis. So this article was great in explaining the importance of protein and if you are unable to prepare it how protein supplements can be a great way to replace a few meals.
Protein is the building block of our whole body - muscles, tissues, hair, nails, etc - all made up of protein. The body needs to break protein down to amino acids to build muscles. If you do not have enough protein in your body you can NOT build muscle mass. You want to make sure that your body is burning fat, not muscle and you can ensure this by ingesting .9 grams of protein per pound of body weight. If you want to build muscle, you will need to ingest 1 to 1.5 grams of protein.
Most protein foods of animal origin such as meat, poultry, fish, eggs, cheese, and milk, contain all of the essential amino acids and are called complete proteins. Proteins found in vegetables are usually lacking one or more of the essential amino acids, so they are called incomplete proteins. However, you can combine 2 incomplete vegetable proteins to make a very high quality complete protein. These are the foods are where most of your protein grams should come from first.
Will taking in protein make me fat?
Amino acids in protein help keep your blood sugar levels stable, so if you are trying to lose weight, the protein will aide in your weight loss. Protein helps keep stop your cravings for food that occurs when blood sugar level drops. When your diet is too high in carbohydrates, you go from a burst of energy and being full to being tired and hungry. That is why you must always have a protein and a carbohydrate at each meal.
Why should I supplement with whey protein? Can’t I get enough protein from eating regular foods?
Yes, you can get enough protein, but there are times when it can be very hard. In todays world, people just don’t have enough time. Running here and there, always on the go. This is where protein shakes can come in very handy. They literally take 2-3 minutes to prepare. Scoop the powder into a shaker or blender with some form of liquid (milk, fruit juice or water). Supplementing with whey protein shakes will help you to build muscle mass, speed recovery time, reduce injuries related to working out, help you to maintain a healthy and fit body and help you to feel better during your workouts.
When are the best times to use a protein supplement?
You should try to get most of your daily protein from regular foods, but there are times when having a protein shake are more beneficial. First thing in the morning, when your body has not had any food for the past 8 hours or so, shakes are digested much faster than an actual meal. Immediately following a workout is also an ideal time for a protein shake. This is probably the most important time to have a shake because after your workout, your muscles need to rebuild and repair themselves.
Can too much protein hurt my body?
If you take in too much protein, your body will not be able to process all the protein into amino acids. What your body can not use will have to be excreted as a waste product. This means your kidney and liver will be doing a lot of work just to get the excess protein out of your body. While this will not cause any major problems over a short period of time - you would not want to be overworking your kidney and liver over the course of several years. That being said - protein supplementation is very safe if you stay within the dosage guidelines.
Which protein supplement is best?
Whey protein is the best form of protein to take when using a supplement as it does not contain fat or lactose sugar. Whey is one of two major sources of protein in milk (casein protein being the other). When milk is turned into cheese, the whey protein is filtered out. The result is a high quality protein.
So as you can see, protein is the most important part of your diet, whether your goals are to increase muscle and get bigger and stronger, or lose weight and lose fat and get/stay lean.

Did you all see the biggest loser last night? What a show!! At first the teams were broken down to compete as individuals which I thought was a good idea because you don’t have anyone holding you down for elimination. The first challenge I was drooling over so bad. All I can say is DONUTS!! All different kinds!! My weakness are the donuts filled with chocolate buttercream frosting. Yummy!!! Anyway, the name of the game was to find the donut that was filled with a token worth $5,000.00, but the catch was that each player that wanted to participate had to eat a donut at each round in order to play. Just think each donut is approx 300 calories each. So, my thought was I would have to do a half hour running on the treadmil in order to burn off that donut. Good grief!! Everyone was in except for Kae. I commend her on her willpower and mind set. She thought it was not worth. To make a long story short Bill won the challenge and got the $5k. I sure wish I had $5k now, I would buy some equipment for my home gym and take my family on vacation to Disney world in Paris, France.
The next challenge was a triatholon and the winner of that challenge was able to fly back home for 24 hours, win immunity from the weigh in, and they were able to pick another player to win the same prize. it ends up that Hollie win and she choose Julie. Amy was steaming mad that she wasn’t chosen, but hey you can’t have everything. Oh yeah, speaking of Amy did you see what she was going to too with Kim, the red team’s trainer? She was going to turn in her red shirt back to kim! I thought that was so rude and like kim said a slip in the face to her ex team members. What do you think about that? The funny thing is at that B and her was at elimination. I was praying that they would not vote of B because he was such a team player, honest, and had good comerodery with the fellow cast. However, it ends up that Amy get sent home? How do you all feel about last night voting? I think Amy needed to go home. She was not happy there to begin with and she would always feel betrayed by someone on the show. Come on! My thought was plan the game and that’s it! Tell me your thoughts?
Well, I better run for now and see what my little man is up to and get my but movin’
I just had to share this wonderful clip from youtube with a fitness tip from my favorite fitness expert Melissa Hall. This clip she shows workout moves that workout multiple body parts at one time to save you time during your busy schedules this holiday season. If I can workout and save time I am a happy camper. The other thing I like about this clip is that she show that darn belt by Slendertone! I swear I want one so bad, but $179.00!!! Is there anyone out there that owns one? Is is worth the investment? Please let me know, because if it is I will mostly buy one after I get my eliptical and barbells, lol.
Oh the day went fast!! I went to work and thank God on time. I remembered to change the clocks in the house, but for some reason I was worried that the clocks were set wrong and I would wake up late for work. So, as a result, I did not sleep well last night, darn it!! I love my beauty sleep, and I need it. Did I tell you all I switched up my skincare routine and tried a new skincare line by Dr. Perricone? Oh man that line is not for me!! I usually use Bliss skincare and I was curious, because it is known to be one of the best firming/anti-aging skincare with the DMAE and alpha lapoic acid. Well after a week in a half my skin decided this is not for me. I broke out bad on the sides of my face and forehead. I later found out that there was too many active ingredients in there for my skin. So I discontinued the use and returned to my Bliss skincare which is AWESOME. But in the meantime my face is mad at me and broken out. I am sad because I sell skincare at Sephora and how will I look selling skincare and my face is all broken out. I am praying to God that is clears up FAST!!
Anyway, I stayed on my routine as planned today although I missed one of my meals today. I wont be too sad, but I will be better prepare tomorrow. My meals were:
Meal 1: two poached eggs, toast, half banana
Meal 2: chicken breast, brown rice, green beans
Meal 3: protein bar and banana
Meal 4: chicken thigh, brown rice and zucchini
I also got my workouts in too. I did:
leg extensions on the bowflex since I did not get them in yesterday
hamstring curls
lat pull downs
tricep pull down
bicep curls
30 minute body sculpt with Gilad
Did I mentioned that Gilad Kills? Oh may God!! I was doing one of his workouts that came on fit t.v almost a 20 minutes ago and he killed my legs!! I worked them out earlier and now my legs feel like JELLO! He also decided to do some killer workouts on the biceps area with weights and a resistance band too, and abs too. I can not believe that man is still at it! He must be in his 50’s and he still has his body so toned and buff. I hate him, but I love him too. Do any of you workout to his DVD’s or Fit T.V? What do you think of his workouts? What are you favorites that you would recommend to buy? I love to keep my workouts new and fresh to avoid boredom. Well, I am off to hit the showers and really get some sleep tonight.

I am glad that I do because I feel that my body digest my food much easier and my weight moves off a little faster. Another bonus is that I do not feel as bloated either. We all know that fruits and vegetables are good for us. Yet most of us don’t make the effort to eat them as much as we should. Many of us are aware that fruits and vegetables can help prevent chronic diseases such as cardiovascular disease and cancer, as well as aid in weight loss, but surveys have shown that 78% of Americans do not even eat five servings per day, the amount recommended by the FDA.
When we look at our culture, it doesn’t come as much of a surprise to learn that the two most commonly consumed fruits and/or vegetables are French fries and ketchup. These foods are easily accessible, and some might say cheap. It seems that although we know what is good for us, we do not always do what is right.
It is not unrealistic, or difficult, to eat five servings of fruits and vegetables each day. It may actually surprise you to learn what counts as a single serving. Here are just a few examples:
One small wedge of watermelon
12 baby carrots
8 large strawberries
1 large banana
2 large stalks of celery
An easy way to add more fruits and vegetables is to add them to things we are already eating. Think about adding strawberries or blueberries to your waffles or pancakes, or add spinach, broccoli or mushrooms to your egg or egg white omelet. Use vegetables as a topping on pizza; add lettuce, tomato and onion to your sandwich. For a snack, toast whole grain bread with peanut butter and add banana slices. And always try eating at least two vegetables with dinner.
These simple steps will easily and quickly help you reach your five recommended servings.

I can not believe that I am still up right now. I really should be in bed sleep, but that is okay because I am off from work tomorrow!! Yahooooooo!! I will be nice to have a break from make-up and hang out with my little guy all day long and see DH later that evening. Well, I did manage to go for a long walk after work for exercise instead of doing step aerobics tonight and I feel great!! Tomorrow I will weight train and do a lot of cardio since I am home. I think I will also read while my son takes his nap as well. I really want to finish Burn The Fat Feed The Muscle so that I can start the plan asap. See Tressa! I will speed read, hee hee I want to be strong like you and maybe compete too. It sounds like fun and a awesome way to get in to the ultimate shape and inspire others too.
Later tomorrow DH promise to take pictures of me in some of my fall clothes that I bought so that I can show and tell to you all. So keep your fingers crossed that he follows through which I know he will. Well, I am off to close my eyes and rest. Chat later!!
