I found this great quote from Diana Ross,
You can’t just sit there and wait for people to give you that golden dream. You’ve got to get out there and make it happen for yourself.
-Diana Ross
What do you think? It is so true with everything in life. So today I will apply that to get focused on weight training and getting cut for summer vacation!!

I went shopping a while back and promised to show some pics. I was able to get a few and still need to get more. I am so sad though because I love all of the fall clothes I purchased, however it is still too dang on hot here to wear them
Can someone be so kind to send a cold front our way here in Texas? But any way I purchase a cute Paris themed shirt from Kohls that has a little bling on it (the shirt is a size small, WOW!). This shirt is my inspiration for planning our family vacation to Paris, France. I want our son to see Disneyland there so bad!! I guess I am just as excited as he is. I really have the heart of a child sometimes. I also bought a pair of new york and company jeans size 8!! Yahooo! They fit pretty comfortable and another top from kohl’s along with a handbag by Vera Wang. I carry this bag everywhere now. I just love shopping and I can’t wait to shop some more!!

“A little bit of confidence can get you started building a lot more confidence. And with sufficient confidence, anything is within your reach.
As you look in the direction of your goal, you’ll see some small step that you are absolutely certain you can take. So go ahead and take that step.
Though you may not yet have the confidence to complete the whole project, you certainly have the confidence to get started. Get started then, and watch your confidence level quickly grow.
Make use of what confidence you now have and the confidence you need for what is next will surely come.
By venturing a little bit out of your comfort zone, you can significantly expand it. By continuing to take on new challenges, just a little bit at a time you can truly achieve whatever you choose.
Starting with only the smallest glimmer of confidence, you can realistically reach even the most ambitious goals. Because your confidence will grow stronger and stronger with every step along the way.”

“Nothing in the world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education alone will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent. The slogan “press on” has solved and always will solve the problems of the human race.”

Hi my friends!!!
It has been a while since I blogged and I hope that everyone is enjoying their summer. How many of you are like me? You are a few pounds from your goal weight and now your are thinking… I am at my goal weight, but now I am ready to get toned and more definition to your new bodies? That’s where I am at now. I got the weight down and now I want to be a little more solid. I came to this thought after taking a picture of myself in a bikini for the first time in my life!! I am not kidding!! I have never worn one before and I am so proud that I tried one on this summer. See the pics!!!
I can’t believe that I am posting this, but I have to say that I am proud. Plus I was just so inspired by some fellow NS members getting their bodies in shape and very well toned. Thanks Tressa and Amanda for the inspiration. You all ROCK!!!!
However, like I said before it is time to get toned with more muscular definition now. I am not in the mist of fitness competition, I just want to look tone and fit. Hey.. you never know though. Hee hee
So, saying that I have given myself a new goal to reach. Yes, I said it another goal. Here they are:
- Lose an additional 10 pounds (getting to 150lbs). My doctor says that is a healthy weight to keep my BMI in a great range. Right now it is about 24. I want to reach that goal by Oct 1st.
- Increase muscular tone to my arms, back, quads, hell… all over!! Hee hee
- Increase muscular tone to my abdomen area.
These are my goals right now and I will start with that and each month I will post progress pics to see how I am coming along. I am so excited because I found a wonderful weight training DVD by Cathe Friedrich that I can used to get the toning together and now I just need to purchase a few more things to add to my home gym to take it to the next level. For starters I want
- A variety of free weights. I have a 2lb and 5lbs, but they are getting very light to me now. I can’t believe I am saying this. Before they were soooo heavy. Now I feel like I can juggle with them. Ha ha ha!!!
- A weight bar
- A few medicine balls to workout my core.
- A high step or I could just use by step aerobic bench to workout my legs!! I will have to post pics because my legs are starting to show more tone now!! Yey!!
- Elastic bands
- Jump rope for added cardio
- My dream equipment is a Pro form elliptical training. (maybe for my birthday or Christmas?? A girl came dream you know.)
With that above should complete my home gym that will keep in shape and headed to reaching my next goal. I can do it!!
Best Wishes!!

I still can’t believe this is me. I remeber starting this journey back in September 14, 2005 and couldn’t imagine in a million years that I would come this far!! But I did with all of the ups and down this was well worth it thanks for
Nutrisystem. The picture of me above are kind of special to me because in May of 2006 I entered them in NS’s “The Great Weight off Contest” in hopes of winning on of the following prizes:
-
$10,000
-
$1,000
-
$500
-
digital scale
-
digital scale
This contest from my knowledge had a record breaking amount off entries and to make a long story short I ended up place 2nd place and $1000!! Isn’t that AWESOME!!! My DH was so sweet and left me use every single penny to purchase a new wardrobe. I guess he felt bad that all of my clothes look like bags on me. I love him!!! But if NS has another contest like I urge you to enter because you will never know where that opportunity can take you.
Before I leave for the evening I also wanted to share some other photos of me and my transformation. I found some fat ones (I really don’t like them, but here they are.)
Enjoy,
Natasha (nhop1976)
