It’s Monday and time for some motivation to share with you all. Have you ever been in a rut and feel like you needed to improve something about yourself whether it is physical or spiritual? Sometimes I go through that and struggle. Physically I know that there is room for improvement. From losing the last few pounds that annoy me or having the feeling that I need to grow in other aspects. Like for instance I learned so much about weight loss and maintaining it and now I want to help everyone who may be struggling like I did in the past. So, I feel in order for me to do that I feel like I can improve knowledge by obtaining a Nutrition & wellness certification and become a personal trainer too, but for some reason  I haven’t started the process. Maybe I am scared of the unknown, but… I can not let that stop me for achieving that. So this quote is for me and I wanted to share it with you too.

Enjoy-

If you have great talents, industry will improve them; If moderate abilities, industry will supply their deficiencies. Nothing is denied to well-directed labor: nothing is ever to be attained without it.

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket Oh NO!!! Did you all see the biggest loser yesterday??? They voted off one of my favorites. Whaaaaaa! They voted the awesome Jerry off. What do you all think about that? I was kind of shocked because he worked so hard at becoming the blue team’s captain and at the first weigh in he last the most weight! 32 POUNDS and they voted him off. I couldn’t believe it because he also was the one that pick the fellow team members and if it was up to him they could have been packing their bags and returning home. I guess what can you do, but the great thing about him is that he did not let that elimination defeat his goal which was to lose the weight and get healthy in order to see if grandchildren graduate from high school. Guess what he did it too. He has lost 88 pounds since the elimination and he looks AWESOME!! I feel that he is a great role model for those seniors that may be thinking I am too old to lose weight or the weight loss will take too long. Shoot if you saw this I think that his story will motivate and inspire anyone at any age to lose weight and reclaim their health.

Way To Go Jerry!!! I love this show!!!

I personally did not exercise due to me being sick, but I am feeling better and stronger that I will do some low impact aerobics tomorrow since I am off of work. Well, I am off to rest for the night. I am tired still because our little one has been sick with allergies still and was up all night coughing and vomiting too. So I pray that the meds kick in so that he can get well and be ready to school on Friday. He did not go to school today because I knew he was too woozy and had lack of sleep which makes for a crabby 3 year-old and I did not want to burden the teachers, so he stayed with DH today while I worked. Say a pray everyone.

Where there is great difficulty there are also great opportunities. Where there is sorrow, there is also much possibility for real joy.

” The attitude you have is the attitude you have chosen. When you find that you’ve worked your way into a negative mindset you have what it takes to also work your way back out.

You can truly change the world by changing the way you look at it. In an instant, by realizing you have the power. You can inject new positive energy and enthusiasm into your life.

In what kind of world do you wish to live? This very moment, you can ad opt an attitude that will make that world appear before your eyes.

Much of what happens all around you is out of your control. And yet you can completely control what is most important.

For you can decide for yourself what it all means. And you can choose what to make of it all.

Are you ready to live life completely on your own term, with positive purpose and passion? When you are ready, you will.”

“One of the commonest mistakes and one of the costliest is thinking that success is due to some genius, some magic - something or other which we do not possess. Success is generally due to holding on, and failure to letting go. You decide to learn a language, study music, take a course of reading, train yourself physically. Will it be success or failure? It depends upon how much pluck and perseverance that word “decide” contains. The decision that nothing can overrule, the grip that nothing can detach will bring success. Remember the Chinese proverb, “With time and patience, the mulberry leaf becomes satin.”

Okay everyone,

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at PhotobucketI just had to report this to you today, that after all of my hard work this summer I stepped on the scale and is read 160 pounds!!! YAHOOOO!! I am finally back to my goal weight again after all of my Thanksgiving, Christmas and New years splurges. Y’all during that time span I almost gained 20 pounds! I am not kidding, however, I learned somethings from the experience too! If you want to keep the weight off you must first continue your exercise no matter what. NO MATTER WHAT!! Second, if you are going to splurge and enjoy yourself you will have to increase your workouts to account for the extra calories that is being consumed. Just think the more calories you put in your mouth the more you will have to burn to keep your weight under control. So, you see these things I did not do at all and that is how the weight sneaked on me so fast over that time span.

So, after the holidays I got my plan in order to work it off. You may say what inspired me to get on track? Well, when I decided to try on some of my summer clothes that are a size 8’s and 10’s and they were too tight to put over my butt!! I was like oh no!! I am not buying bigger sized clothes! No WAY, No HOW!! hee hee!! It took sometime between splurges and all but I managed my way back to the size that I am comfortable with which is now a size 6/8. I have never worn a size 6 before and I believe that is due to the weight training that I have decided to incorporate this year. Fitness experts say that muscle burns more fat which caused me to lose more inches than last year this time. So I love that. The only reason why I know that I can now wear a size 6!!! I went shopping this past Saturday for so new clothes for my new job and I decided, hummmm…. Lets see how the size 6 feels since the size 8 dress slacks were a bit loose. I but them on and bam!!! They fit!! I’ll be damn, They fit!! I was sooo excited. As a result, I will continue to weight train because now my brain knows it works!
So now you may be thinking, how will you avoid this problem this year during the holidays? Well again, I will do what I said above which is to continue working out, but I have also given myself a new goal for myself. Which is to loss an addition 5-10 that will have my weight at 150-155. Why? So that I will have some wiggle room for the holidays and it is a suggested weight from my Doctor. She suggested to stay in this area because it will keep my BMI in the right place of I believe 22-23?? I forget. So here I go. I am on the mission to reach this goal before thanksgiving, and I will also work on toning my muscles too.

Well, I better go for now. I have to end in for my first day! Wish me luck :)

“It takes a little courage, and a little self-control. And some grim determination, If you want to reach the goal. It takes a great deal of striving, and a firm and stern-set chin. No matter what the battle, if you really want to win, there’s no easy path to glory. There is no road to fame. Life, however we may view it, Is no simple parlor game; But its prizes call for fighting, For endurance and for grit; For a rugged disposition that will not quit.”
