I think I am ready for a challenge now. I was thinking to myself today, that I need something new to try. A different workout plan, meal plan, and mind set to follow. I feel like I am doing the same thing with eating and workouts and I am boring myself to death. So I decided to hop on my favorite site which is bodybuilding.com and believe me it has been a long time since I have visited this site.

However, I came across this 8 week summer slimdown plan to follow in order for me to reach my goal and not lose focus. I like that it maps out a eating plan and workout to following which I feel I need right now. Something to follow and say hey Natasha do this today or cook this today to get me going. The article is by Myron Miekle a bodybuilder himself check out his site.

Now, I am contemplating should I start this plan effective tomorrow? Or wait until the 4th of July celebrating is over? I am thinking, I am not going to over eat anyway, because I do not want to screw up my week. So I guess why not start tomorrow? Check this out and if you are up for a challenge join me and we can do it together. Well I better get my grocery list together so that I can have everything ready to get started.

Hey you all. I was just reading on the net today and came across this interesting information that is really making me want to purchase the Wii fit system NOW!. Majesco announced on June 12th the launch of the Fitness Ultimatum 2009 with Julian Michaels as the fitness coach for this holiday 2008. Do you all not how fierce her workouts are? Oh my gosh!! check out this site called Gamasutra.com for more info regarding this new info. I am totally talking to DH to purchase the Wii Fit system this month!!

We have the Nintendo Wii Console and it is loads of fun. So far we have the wii spots which is filled with interactive games like bowling, golf, tennis, and many more and the Guitar hero III. The other day my son and I was at the mall and they had a Wii fit section displayed with experts to show you how to use the system and you can actually play on the equipment too. Man did I get a workout. I think this will help with that workout boredom that I get from doing the same thing most of the time. Anyone of you have this system yet? How would you rate it?

Are you all ready to get ripped and toned for summer? I have been using this workouts for a weeks and I am seeing some nice results to my body. Now this workout will really get you sore, but all worth it and the end. The DVD is called Get Ripped 1000, by Jari Love and I love it! I found a clip from youtube for you to check out.

Happy Friday all. Do you want to work your abs but don’t want to spend a lot of time doing so? I do and I found a great clip from exercise TV to help get you started. Just think doing this a few days a week along with healthy eating and cardio will get you. It will get you swimsuit ready for sure!! So drop down and give me 2 minutes! Now! I will join too, lol.

Check out this routine to really get you booty firm this swimsuit season. I was on Oxygen.com my favorite site as you know by now and found this awesome routine to firm the butt. I remember doing these workouts when I had a gym membership and the one workout the comes to mind that really had my butt on fired was this below.

Take a bosu, if you are lucky enough to have a Fitness Quest Bosu Balance Trainer because they cost approx $99, and also gave some few weight 8- 10lbs and start to squat. You really burn some calories doing this because your muscles are trying to stabilize at the same time. Last summer my buns and legs were awesome looking, so I totally recommend this to be added into your strength training routine. I know this winter/spring I will be purchasing one along with a workout DVD too,so that I can have my lower half back, lol. If you don’t have a Bosu try these other butt busters by clicking here.

I forgot to post yesterday’s workouts. It wasn’t nothing to brag about all I did was;

  1. lounges 3×15
  2. squats 4×15
  3. inner and outer thigh abductions 4×15
  4. abs: crunches, obliques, lower ab 3x 15 per section

Photobucket I did not get any cardio in which was bad but today I will totally make up for it. Yesterday I just received my order from collage video which is my Jari Love’s DVD Get Ripped 1000 . It included muscle training and cardio. I so can’t wait to workout to it, but I will wait until my hubby gets home so that I can completely concentrate without my little guy distracting me from the workout. I will definitely let you all know how the workout goes. Does anyone of you own this workout? if so let me know your likes and dislikes about it. I saw it in Oxygen and on other sites too and since the reviews were good I ordered it.

My meal plan so far is great. I just need to stick to it without cheating before bedtime. That is what happened last night. I worked late and forgot to pack my last meal for the day which is usually a protein bar or some other snack. So as a result I came home and was hungry and snacked like a pig. I swear I woke up in the middle of the night a felt heartburn from eating too many chips and pizza. I felt sick. Now, after eating a healthy breakfast and lunch I feel better. Thank God the scale was kind to me and did not rebel, lol. So my plan today:

  1. breakfast: protein shake, fruit
  2. lunch: tuna salad, salad 5, and melba crackers
  3. Snack: yogurt, fruit
  4. dinner: chicken, salad, asparagus
  5. snack/dessert: protein shake (My BSN!!!)

Well, I am off for now. I need to go see how my other friends are doing today and get more inspiration too.

Hey all if you are looking for new workouts for the new year you have got to try this!! It’s Billy Blanks’ Tae Bo Amped. I am about to do this workout in a few seconds. I love this workout because I am getting a great cardio workout and at the same time leaning my muscles too. I swear the first time I did the full throttle workout my upper body was sore as hell!! Check out this short clip for some new workout ideas.

Dang after yesterdays workout I did not think I would be able to complete my cardio session today, but I did it!! 15 minutes on the elliptical and 30 minutes of Step Aerobics with Cathe!! My legs are freakin sore, but I know that will help melt the remaining fat around my upper thighs, lol. Well i am out for the day. I must hit the showers and get all pretty up for workout tonight. Please pray that it goes fast!! Tomorrow is going to be a fun day off. I will be meeting with a friend for a playdate her and her family goes to California for the holidays. Then I will be dropping off our son to grandpa house until Saturday!! Fred and I will be going to a Christmas party Thursday night and then Friday after I get off from work we are going out on a late night date that we have not done in several months. So, I am looking forward to this. Then Arman, our son will be coming back on Saturday and then it will be the count down until Christmas day!! I am SO EXCITED!!

Well you all, today I got a chance to do day one of the challenge and I have to say that it was not bad as I thought it would be. Later this afternoon after a nice nap (my child finally took one today, ahhh..) I did the workout for Monday today and then I did 30 minutes of cardio on the elliptical. It was nice, but I wished my eating habit was a little better. Today I had no plan and my fridge is getting bare and when that happens you set yourself up for failure. Learn from my mistake today. Tomorrow I will have a better meal planned out along with a hour of cardio waiting for me.

Well, I am off for the moment. Need to get some sleep in for tomorrow otherwise if I am tired and groggy that lead me to snacking during the day and no cardio and we do not want that to happen at all.
