Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket It came across an interesting article by Tosca Reno in the January Issue of Oxygen Magazine on page 66. Tosca Reno, Oxygen’s fabulous 40 something columnist (she looks great for being in her 40’s!!), is the author of The Eat-Clean Diet and new book coming out soon called The Eat-Clean Diet Workout book. She is very inspiring and physically fit for her age. The name of this article is called I’m coming clean where she shares very personal issues that her readers have been asking her. People have been asking her if she has had cosmetic surgery to enhance her body. She says that she hasn’t had liposuction, face lift, tummy tuck, fat grafting at all. However the one thing she admits having done was her breast.

The reason why she explains, “Training hard and eating clean 364 days of the year took a toll on my former 36-B bust line. I kept my body lean and traded away cleavage while I was building curves- a shapely quad sweep: higher, tighter gluts and more. I enjoyed watching the transformation, but I did not like what happened up front. My boobs were floating in her bras.” She also goes on and says that, “this is common among fitness athletes. When you eat clean and training regularly, things get smaller, including the breast. Most of the women you see in the pages of Oxygen have had similar adjustment made because they too keep their bodies so lean. In fact breast augmentation is the most common plastic surgery procedure in North America today. Since breast are mostly fatty tissue they are the first to go when the body becomes lean….”

Can some of you out relate to this issue after losing weight or training? I know I can. I remember at 225lbs by bust size was a 42D and after the weight loss I am at 34b cup which is too small and a 34C is better, but my girls will not even fill the cup. :( I also fail to tell you that when I was at my heaviest I was also nursing too so my breast inflated to an DD. So now they are sagging and lower that they should be. Even when I where a push up bra the girls don’t hold up they sink. (double boo hoo :( ) Can you relate? Have any of you corrected the problem and decided to get a breast lift or augmentation? If so, I would like to now:

  1. The cost?
  2. recovery time?
  3. Are the any follow ups to maintain the implants?
  4. Will the implants have to be replace after a certain amount of time and will it be an additional cost?

The reason why I would like to know is that I am seriously thinking about having the procedure done on my self. I have talked seriously with my husband and he says if that is what I want then go for it, however I know the cost is high and I want to save up for it and have to ability to afford to stay at home during the recovery process. I know this may seem vain to some people, but to lose the weight and feel great physically, but not in the girls is kind of tormenting at times and it would be fabulous to display the bust area in a nice top without worrying if I could fill it. If you live in the Austin, Tx area and had the procedure done and are very pleased with your results, please let some comments of who are where you had the procedure done?

If you are like me too seriously do some research before jumping the gun to fast and make sure this is right for you. Within the next few weeks I will be doing some research myself and consulting with some physicians myself to find out if I want to go through this or not. The thought of surgery scares me. Also during this research I will share with you my findings.

Until then I’ll chat later!!

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket It is finally getting cold here in central Texas and I am sure it is already cold in the others areas too. I am happy about it because I can finally start to wear fall clothing here now from boots to sweaters and nice warms stylish legging and socks. Yey!! Today I was shopping with my son for his winter clothing and now it is my turn. I really don’t need a lot of clothes, but I need socks and tights. I was browsing online and came across Hue.com which is a company you definitely see in your major departments stores like Macys and Dillards. Hue is a retailer that has an extensive line of comfortable socks and tights in a variety of colors, sizes and textures. I saw some fun fish net tights to your traditional legwear. I was also surprised to see that they also carry a small line of accessories and handbags too! It’s great to know that they have a online store because I hate it when I go to the mall looking for a specific style and come to find that they are sold out of my size. Grr! So, now I can shop with them directly since they offer a $5.00 flat shipping on every order, no matter how large the size. If you wear this brand you will be glad you check this out today.

Oh the day went fast!! I went to work and thank God on time. I remembered to change the clocks in the house, but for some reason I was worried that the clocks were set wrong and I would wake up late for work. So, as a result, I did not sleep well last night, darn it!! I love my beauty sleep, and I need it. Did I tell you all I switched up my skincare routine and tried a new skincare line by Dr. Perricone? Oh man that line is not for me!! I usually use Bliss skincare and I was curious, because it is known to be one of the best firming/anti-aging skincare with the DMAE and alpha lapoic acid. Well after a week in a half my skin decided this is not for me. I broke out bad on the sides of my face and forehead. I later found out that there was too many active ingredients in there for my skin. So I discontinued the use and returned to my Bliss skincare which is AWESOME. But in the meantime my face is mad at me and broken out. :( I am sad because I sell skincare at Sephora and how will I look selling skincare and my face is all broken out. I am praying to God that is clears up FAST!!

Anyway, I stayed on my routine as planned today although I missed one of my meals today. I wont be too sad, but I will be better prepare tomorrow. My meals were:

  1. Meal 1: two poached eggs, toast, half banana
  2. Meal 2: chicken breast, brown rice, green beans
  3. Meal 3: protein bar and banana
  4. Meal 4: chicken thigh, brown rice and zucchini

I also got my workouts in too. I did:

  1. leg extensions on the bowflex since I did not get them in yesterday
  2. hamstring curls
  3. lat pull downs
  4. tricep pull down
  5. bicep curls
  6. 30 minute body sculpt with Gilad

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket Did I mentioned that Gilad Kills? Oh may God!! I was doing one of his workouts that came on fit t.v almost a 20 minutes ago and he killed my legs!! I worked them out earlier and now my legs feel like JELLO! He also decided to do some killer workouts on the biceps area with weights and a resistance band too, and abs too. I can not believe that man is still at it! He must be in his 50’s and he still has his body so toned and buff. I hate him, but I love him too. Do any of you workout to his DVD’s or Fit T.V? What do you think of his workouts? What are you favorites that you would recommend to buy? I love to keep my workouts new and fresh to avoid boredom. Well, I am off to hit the showers and really get some sleep tonight.

Byeeee!

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket You all know that I love beauty products and that I also encourage good health for your body and skin. Well I was doing some research on healthy ways to take care of my skin from the inside by using dietary supplements. I already use topical skin care products and thought maybe I can also benefit with doing both.

I came across some interesting news about this dietary supplement called R.G. Skin Revitalizer that supports healthy skin. This supplement has G.A.C. which is an exotic tropical super fruit with a rich history of medicinal use in Asian households. You are probably wondering what in the world is this? I was too! But, Gâc (Momordia Cochinchinemis Spreng), is a bright-red fruit that grows as large as a cantaloupe and abundantly on vines all over sub-tropical Asia, especially in Vietnam. This fruit has Beta-carotene, a natural carotenoid antioxidant found abundantly in Gâc fruit, which helps boost the immune system and assists the skin’s cellular rejuvenation process. It also has Carotenoids as plant pigments that functions as protection of the plant against excess sunlight. As a result, their nutritional value is especially important to healthy skin. Interesting, huh?

Some of the benefits I found with this R.G (red Gac) Skin Revitalizer are:

  1. Daily skin nourishment exceptionally rich in antioxidants to support your body against damaging free radicals* and to help provide nutrient support for strong cellular rejuvenation*
  2. Works from the inside out* and complements topical skin care regimen
  3. Pure fruit oil extracted from “Gâc” (Momordia Cochinchinemis Spreng), a native fruit of Vietnam

Have anyone of you heard of this supplement? It is completely new to me and I will continue to research it more to see if this may be something that I want to add to my routine or not.

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket Can you tell that I am in the holiday mode already? I was at the mall again with Arman just browsing and noticing all of the retailers store’s decorated for the holidays. I am also a fragrance girl and I noticed all of the fragrance gifts set coming in already. Holy cow, they are beautiful and seem to be a great deal until I started to browse online and came across this discounted retailer called Perfumebay.com.

This online retailer has a wide range of fragrances, skincare, and make-up. It was almost too much for me, but on the other hand that is great because you can shop for everyone and find every brand on their website that is discounted almost 40%-50% of the retail price. I saw fragrances by alfred sung, Christian Dior, Dolce Gabbana, Victoria Secret, Calvin Klein Perfumes, Colognes & Fragrances For Men & Women. I also saw skincare sets too by Murad, Clinique and other major brands. So if you are starting your holiday shopping check this site, save big, and avoid the holiday crowds.

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket    Now I never heard about this skincare line, but I just have to blog about it because it may be beneficial to some of you that have issues with pigmented in the skin. I have been in the cosmetic industry for over 10 years now and you would think I now everything and I guess I don’t. I came across this skin care line called Oriki. You are probably like who is that? Well ORIKI Cosmeceuticals have developed products specifically for those with Asian, Mediterranean and other Olive (AMO) skin types. Why? Asian, Mediterranean, and Olive (AMO) skin types are more pigmented. The more pigmentation, the darker the skin color and the more likely it is to darken further after a minor injury or acne breakout. AMO skin behaves differently than fair skin due to this sensitivity of the pigment cells.

Although AMO skin is more protected against the sun, it is not exempt from the ravages of sun damage. Sun exposure may worsen certain common facial pigmentation such as melasma (dark patches) and lentigines (dark spots). For the same reasons, it is essential than any skincare formulations for AMO skin types utilize hypoallergenic and safe brightening ingredients such as products free of hydroquinone.

ORIKI advanced formulations utilize the botanical antioxidants and purest cosmeceutical ingredients that are scientifically designed to rejuvenate skin cells and collagen-elastin complex. An ORIKI skincare regimen achieves a dramatically healthy complexion by brightening and improving skin tone. An amazing bio-transformation occurs within the skin and, in just a few weeks, ORIKI:

  1. Minimizes the appearance of pores
  2. Reduces the appearance of fine wrinkles and dark spots
  3. Results in a luminous, younger and healthier looking skin

If you are this skin type check out the site and research the information provided. I feel that this site gave very detailed information about their background and about the science of the skin and how it is affected.

I went shopping a while back and promised to show some pics. I was able to get a few and still need to get more. I am so sad though because I love all of the fall clothes I purchased, however it is still too dang on hot here to wear them :( Can someone be so kind to send a cold front our way here in Texas? But any way I purchase a cute Paris themed shirt from Kohls that has a little bling on it (the shirt is a size small, WOW!). This shirt is my inspiration for planning our family vacation to Paris, France. I want our son to see Disneyland there so bad!! I guess I am just as excited as he is. I really have the heart of a child sometimes. I also bought a pair of new york and company jeans size 8!! Yahooo! They fit pretty comfortable and another top from kohl’s along with a handbag by Vera Wang. I carry this bag everywhere now. I just love shopping and I can’t wait to shop some more!!
