I can not believe it has been 7 days till my last post. You better believe I have not been up to my best behavior and that explains why the scale peaked up to 179 this week. EKKK!! So in horror of returning back to the big and unhealthy me I started to eat a bit better and today I actually got back to my cardio routine!!! I am not kidding! I did 40 minutes of Billy Blanks Fat blasting cardio w/o the billy bands. Why? I am soooo out of shape. I tired the first 15 minutes with them and I was huffing and puffing, so I took them off and continued to exercise!! Yey!!
I am so glad that I did exercise in order to back my routine of laziness creeping in. I was going to sit on the couch and watch a soap opera while my son sleeps, but instead I decided to take that time and use it wisely. I am so proud of myself!! My eats have been good to today.
Meals:
yogurt, banana, eggs
chicken salad with fruit
apple and string cheese
dinner will be chicken with broccoli
Not too bad considering I took my son for his weekly fun meal to Mc Donalds and I did not order a darn thing!! YES!!! Well, I just had to post what was going on, now I have to get ready to retail hell for a few hours. I hope that you all are doing well and I will chat later.
Well, another day gone past. What did I do to make the most of it? Not much, just a lot of house chores and play time with my son before work. My eats were not terribly bad. . . What did I eat today?
Breakfast: eggs, whole wheat toast, green tea
Lunch: tuna sandwich on whole wheat toast and raw carrots
Snack: yogurt and almonds
dinner: chicken salad in tortilla with lettuce and tomatoe
Snack: too many chips. ( I am afraid that i will have to ban these from the house because this is the second night that I had a bit too many
Water: 50oz, tea 16oz (mental note increase water intake
Exercise:
30 minutes elliptical
does running around chasing a child for 20 minutes count?
Tomorrow I really need to weight train my lower half of the body and then I will do some cardio with tae bo fat blasting cardio DVD. Tomorrow will be a better day of making good choices.

I can’t complain today wasn’t bad at all. Since yesterday I got back to the basics like watching what I am eating and how much of it I am consuming. It actually was a bit tough starting back to the workouts because I felt so out of shape, but I am over it.
Today, I had to pick up my father in law from the hospital in another city about an 1 and 1/2 from where we live. He had a surgery for a herniated disk, so his recovering fine at home this evening. After that my son and I came home and played the Wii “Cars” game which was fun until DH was home from work. We would have been outside, but it was wet and rainy today. Once he was home I did 30 minutes of step aerobics and then I went for a walk/job with my friend for 45 minutes. My body really needed that. I mean REALLY.
What did I eat today? Not perfect, but it is a start. . .
breakfast: scrambles egg whites with 1 whole egg, whole wheat toast and green tea
meal 2: carrots and turkey with green tea
Meal 3: subway sub with water
dessert: cheesecake
late night snacks (I am trying and will get better) but. . grapes, two 100 calorie dorritos packs, another slice of cake. I know!! I KNOW!!
I know my late night snacks were not the best choices, but I am logging this so I can figure out my problems areas. (However, I know what the problem is, “late night eating”. So, basically I am taking each day at a time, so that I do not stress myself out too much. The great thing about today is that my body is finally releasing some of the water weight. Yey!! I was feeling thick!! Thick like Stay Puff Marshmallow Man. hee hee
Moment of truth . . So, where is my weight? Okay. . . . I am at 177lbs! It is crazy how I can gain 10lbs in a months time with all of my stress I was going through mid July and Early August. But Wow!! I realized it was getting out of control and I can not let life get in the way of my health. I worked too hard to get at the weight I love and I will NEVER go back to that unhappy 230lbs woman ever again. So, I said it and now I WILL work at it like I said earlier. I am working on getting back to 160lbs, but I am going to take each pound at a time. Well, I better get to bed. Another thing I am working on is getting more sleep. I would stay up until 1:00am and get up at 7:00 and I can not do that anymore. When I am not rested my body and mind do not perform well. So, with that said. Good night to all and I will chat later!!

I was just pondering the idea of figure competing just to get my mind set on something to accomplish maybe this year or better yet next year. Why put it off until next year? There may be a possibility that I may be able to come back home and quit my full-time them. So, there will not be an excuse for anything. But I was thinking to myself where in the world or how do I get started? Should I hire a personal trainer, get on a meal plan or what? I was browsing bodybuilding.com and came across this
Video: DVD: The Fiqure Competition Training Guide, 2-DVD Set
Some of the reviews from amazon were good, but doesn’t make me confident enough to purchase. Here is one of the reviews I found:
The DVD goes through all the basics of contest preparation - the four mandatory poses, hair, makeup, accessories, what to expect on competition day, tanning, how to find the right posing suit, training, and nutrition. It does an okay job touching on all the major highlights giving you a decent run-through of what to expect and how to properly prep for it.
My biggest con is with the overall production with the DVD - it is beyond terrible and makes watching certain parts just down right unbearable. Many of the hosts or “figure coaches” as they are referred to in the dvd seem robotic, disengaged, and at times rather ditzy. You would think they would at least edit out the parts where they spend several moments bumbling through lines and forgetting parts but they didn’t - its all on there for you to suffer through. It gets really distracting following along when the figure coach can’t get through their particular part or (like in one scene) totally forgot what they were going to say…pause…look off camera…pause…then recall what they were supposed to say. Again, not horrendous overall, but i wish i would’ve spent my money on a posing-specific DVD.
Anyone of you out there have any thoughts on this one or do you have another guides out there you would suggest? Please let me know because I am totally new at this and want to get off to a great start.

Hi all!! It feels like I have been offline for a long time. I have just been up to enjoying the summer with my family, and getting used to working a full-time job. I haven’t work full-time for almost 4 years and i have to admit it is a challenge to manage the home, family, work and maintaining my weight loss too. My weight continues to fluctuate from 165-175 I swear and I really need to get my weight to a solid 155 or 160 to be completely satisfied with my body and the way I feel physically. You all may think she only has 10-15 pounds to lose? Stop whining already, but it is a big deal to me because I feel sluggish and tried and not myself. And to add, the clothes are tight and I hate it.
Now you may say time management and I am usually great at that but man!! I feel like there is no time for anything and when I am ready to exercise I am butt tired to the world and then I think about getting up earlier to exercise, but when you have a sick child at times and you are up late caring for them sometimes the strength and motivation runs right out the window. Do any of you moms out there understand? Have any advice?
Right now, I am making myself mentally not stress about the scale and what it says. Because the more I stress the less effective I am with coming up with a plan of action. So, I really need to refocus and think and act. I have all of the tools to lose this extra 10-15lbs, so what is my problem? I guess I am stressed out about my dad in and out of the hospital, My mom being so far away and her heeling from her foot surgery, working long retail hours, managing a home, making sure my child has a social life, and trying to fit as much family time as I can when DH and I are not working so darn hard from week to week. To add, my doctor want me to see a hemotologist to see why my white blood count is low too (boo hoo :(). Geez, sometimes I just wish things were back to what they were 2 years about when Dh and I was self employed and I was able to stay at home and think clearly. Things was so much easier then until the mortgage industry took a hit for the worse and it effected our business really bad to we closed our doors and ventured into the 9-5 thing again.
I guess in order to move forward I must let go of the way things was and focus on now and the future and make the best of what’s happening now and be thankful for what we have. right?
What’s going to be my solution? I guess I will be thinking about that today and I will be posting my results tonight or in the morning. I want to continue to inspire others, but now I need inspiration too.
Anyhow, I better run for now. I want to play with my little one before it time for me to go into work tonight. I hope that you all are doing well this week and enjoying the rest of your day.
Well, all thank you so much for all of you support regarding my dad. He is recovering from surgery now and doing well. Thank you so much!!
What’s new? Last week I had my physical and my results came in this week regarding my lab work. My doctor told me that that my blood work is showing me slightly anemic, so as a result, they are running more test to see if I have an iron deficiency or what? In the meantime we were discussing my diet and I told her about this plan I am on now. She told me that the plan sound healthy, but she would rather me go back to a more balance diet like zone, or nutrisystem similar diet right now until we figure out what’s wrong with me which means I temporarily have to stop. I am not too upset, because I have been wondering why I have been feeling so darn tired lately. So, ladies and gents make sure you see your doctor yearly on these types of health issues. You never know.
To top that off, last Friday I was at work setting up visuals for sephora and got box fibers on my face which caused an allergic reaction for real!! My entire face was rashed and my neck line too. So my doctor prescribed prednisone which is known to make you retain water and gain wait. Needless to say my scale is up to 169. Damn!!
But you know what I will not be negative about that. I will focus on a solution and work it. I know how to eat healthy with a balanced diet so I will just get back to the basics and if it takes a bit longer to lose the weigh oh well. At least I will be losing! Right?
Anyway, I am off to take some meds and get some sleep. I have been tired due to lack of sleep since my little one is sick too. He is getting more adult teeth in for 4 & 1/2 years of age, so he is getting a fever along with that and season allergies too. Poor kiddo. I just pray this will past fast. I love my energetic child.
Well. . . Week 2 result was not as big as the first week, but I was expecting that for sure. However I am happy with my results. I ended up losing 1lbs this week bring me to 166 and I am happy with that.
Week 1: 167lbs (-5lbs)
Week 2: 166lbs (-1lb)
week 3: ?????? Stay tune!!!
So going into week 3 I am going to increase my efforts especially in my weight training and increase the weights so that I can continue to build more muscle in order to burn more fat. So stay tuned. .
How am I feeling today? Blah. . I just found out that my dad is back in the hospital again. In addition to his other health problems he also has an irregular heart beat which brought him back. Today I just found out that they will have to operate and place a stint/fibulator in his heart to help with the irregularities. I ask will he be okay during the surgery and they told me that if they thought his health would compromise anything they would not do the surgery. So, he is good to go.
Wow, it is hard sometimes to hear stuff like this because you think your parents are super human, but the reality is we all are not and are bodies can decline over the years. Please say a prayer for my dad.
Well, I better get to my first meal of the day which is very important and that is breakfast. eggs, cream of rice and grean tea. My next meal will be in 2 hours. hee hee
Well, I just received my September issue of Oxygen Magazine already. Time is flying fast!! Anyway, This product must have been out for a while, but I am just noticing it today. Has anyone tired this cereal called

Well, It has been a week on this program and so far I am seeing GREAT results!! So, far my stats are:
Starting week: 172lbs
Week 1: 167lbs (-5lb loss)
This program is pretty good and I am very satisfied with the results that i am having. The food is great and easy to prepare. I can tolerated the exercise which is easy to follow as well. Next I am hoping to see some more awesome results next week. If I experience the same amount of weight loss GREAT!! But any loss is welcomed. With starting this program I am feeling more strength and fat loss with the body. Now, one thing that I need to learn how to do is measure the body fat. I there something that I can purchase to help measure it? If any one of my figure competition friends know, please share.
Anyway, I just got home from work and I had to share my results with you all today! Right now, i have to get my kiddo ready for bed and then I will be getting ready to workout my upper body and hang out with the hubby for the rest of the evening. Until next time have a great even.
