Hi all! Well, last week was the first week for an honest getting back on track. I worked out 3 times last week which is kind of low for me, but it is a start. I ate my meals according to plan as well. The only thing that continued to haunt me last week was the late night munchies. I bought myself peanuts and 100 calorie packs, but what I found is that I kept on snacking on too much of that too which didn’t not help. So, later last weekend I found something that can save me from packing on the pounds during my late night blogging and browsing. I decided that raw carrots, light popcorn, and celery are my friends!! hee hee. I love things that are crunchy and I figure that if I snack on those instead of chips, cookies, too many nuts I can save myself from blowing an entire day of eating healthy.

Last week I didn’t lose any pounds, but I can tell that my clothes are getting loser, so that is awesome!! This weekend I am going to continue working out 3 days and maybe add on 1 more day totaling 4 days of workouts and see if I can get that scale moving. Today I just finished working on the elliptical for 25 minutes and as soon as my son’s movies goes off I will do 30 minute of Tae bo amped. I getting amped baby!! Once I am finished with that I will shower and get ready for work. What have you all been up too? Are you reaching your fitness goals? Weight loss goals? Let me know, I would love to chat. I have to say I have not been on here as much as I do, do to starting my fashion blog and I miss you all. So I will be blogging more often with new topics for health, fitness, and weight loss in the future days to come. I hope that you all have a great day and continue to be healthy!!

Did you all see the show yesterday? It was actually pretty good. I loved the challenge when all of the contestants had to guest how many calories were in certain foods. At the end of this challenge the winner won something that was hidden under a silver platter. Ultimately, Dan was the winner and what was revealed to be his prized was a piece of chocolate cake that was worth 600 calories. He had a choice that he could eat it or save it for the next challenge. Dan decided to keep it for his advantage for the next challenge.

It was so funny!! Dan had that cake with him everywhere he went, at dinner, during his workouts he sat the cake right next to him, so that he would not lose it. I was dying in laughter. Then one night Dan and some other guys decided to go for a late night walk and this is when Dan decided to leave the cake on the kitchen table during the walk. Little did he realized that a prank was getting started on him. So, Rodger decided to teach him a lesson and hide the cake from him and left a note saying that Kelly took the cake.

When Dan returned he found that his cake was gone!! So he went looking for Kelly demanding for his cake, but she did not have a clue what happened to it. Finally Rodger told him that the cake was in a area that Dan normally doesn’t do his chores at. So he was looking in the dishwasher, the washing machine and finally he found it on a shelf in the laundry room. Rodger told him that he was trying to teach him a lesson which was never to leave the cake behind because anyone could have taken it and then Dan would not have had it for the next challenge. I was laughing!! How about you?

The next challenge left the contestants in the middle of a basketball court with tables for each person. The object of the game was to place as many calories of the stadium food on any contestants table and the contestant with the least amount of calories would win $10,000!! I was like holy cow! Dan got a 600 calories advantage which he could place that on anyone’s table. So, he decided to place the cake on Kelly’s table. I guess Dan wants to get rid of the black team, huh?

What made me kid of upset is that the guys strategized to place all of the calories on the girls table to keep the blue team strong. How brutal. Now if they were smart those guys biggest threat are amongst themselves and not the girls, duh!

To make a long story short Jay won the challenge and the $10k, but there was a twist. You bet always! Jay could keep the $10k or trade it in for the 1 pound pass. You know how bad 1 pound has been haunted each contest on the show? Jay ended up taking the one pound to the weight.

What cracks me up at the weigh in Dan was so confident that the blue team would stay strong and annihilate the girls. However, Jillian had other plans for the girls and kick there workouts in high gear in order to keep them on another week and with awesome Jillian’s training techniques and coaching it work!! All the guys had wonderful number except for Dan losing 1 pound. Oh no. . . Dan spoke too soon, huh? The girls ended up losing I believe 13 pounds between the two leaving Mark and Dan up for elimination. So guess who goes home? Dan. Way to go girls!!!! Jillian Rocks!!

I can’t believe it is getting down to the last few shows before the finale. I hope at least one of the girls make it to the finale four. Who do you think will make it? My thoughts are:

  1. Rodger
  2. Jay
  3. Kelly
  4. ?

I didn’t list the last person because it can be a toss up. Both Mark and Ali do not have much more they can lose, so it will be interesting who makes it. Well, I am off for now. . .

Hi all, I hope that all you had a great Easter. I did, I think way too much fun and the scale is now at a all time high of 169.5. Yikes!! I am feeling so porky right now, for real. I hope that this video does not offend anyone, but this is how I feel. Do you all remember this one? Weird Al Yankovic-I’m Fat? Check out this funny oldie:

This used to have me on the floor. But today I am going to show this excess fat who’s the boss of this body. I think know I am really ready to mentally focus on getting in shape for summer. Right now my clothes are fitting tight and I refuse to go purchase larger size clothing to accomodate my glutaney. I know what to do to get this in order and I just need to do it and be CONSISTENT!! Today I am telling this fat I’m bad and I am going to kick but this week.

Plan:

  1. 30 minutes of step
  2. 30 minutes of weight lifting
  3. 15 minutes of abs
  4. Meals low on carbs this week
  5. Lot of water. The good ole h2o

I can do it I know I can and to get me moving I just had to plug in Michael Jackson’s I’m Bad video. I still love it to this day.

Huh??? Okay I missed last week show and now I feel like I missed a lot. Someone has got to give me the scoop on the reasoning for their return? Please? Hee hee :) I am glad they are back to add a competitive edge to the show and they both look awesome! How do you feel about their return? I am curious to know. I don’t believe this show has done this before, so it would be interesting to know. However, if this show doesn’t inspire you I don’t know what will.

tim-gunn.jpg I bet all of the contestants had a great time with the make-overs with Tim Gunn, he rocks as a fashion stylist and I loved him on Project runway too. That man is fab, so FABULOUS!! He could style me any day of the week. I will just be broke as hell, lol. Anyway with the help of him and Macys the contestants was treated to a make-over and got a chance to strut their new bodies down the runway and at the end of the runway was a member from each of their families. I was in tears. I just know the emotion to well when people see you for the first time in your transformed self and are completely shocked and happy for you. It is such a wonderful feeling. They also will be in Prevention Magazine too!!

It was sad to see Brittany leave, but I guess it was her time, but dang and sorry guys, there are only two women left and it would be nice to see at least one of them in the final four, but we will see. Well, I better get my day started and get working out. The clothes are getting looser and that is a sign that the scale is beginning to move in the right direction again.

I have had a lot of questions on my 65 pound adventure with Nutrisystem page asking questions about Nutrisystem. So, I was thinking what were my reasons for trying Nutrisystem and why I liked it so much and here they are:

  1. The online and off line support your received from their weight loss consultants and the community online. I could contact anyone at anytime and they were they and ready to support me. I even meet a few friends along they way that I still talk to now.
  2. The convenience of receiving my monthly food selections from the comfort of my home without having to schedule a time to drive to a center.
  3. I could weigh in weekly from the comfort of my home.
  4. I learned how to eat healthy through portion control. I also learned how many calories are in a serving serving of food.
  5. Nutrisystem got me up and exercising again and now it is ingrained in my head to exercise especially when the scale starts to creep up.
  6. I now drink more water which is great for your health and your skin
  7. I love shopping!! I really love shopping for clothes now because they fit!
  8. I have my health back and don’t have to worry about diabetes.
  9. I have more energy to have fun with my family and friends.
  10. I have now gained myself back again. I feel like me and more confident too.

So, what are your reasons? Please share if you are currently on this program or have successfully lost weight and now maintaining it on your own. Many people would like to know so they can gain back their health or lose weight for summer too. Feel free to leave a comment and I will post for you all that are curious and thinking about trying Nutrisystem.

It’s Monday, the hardest day of the week to get started and get going on whatever it is we are trying to accomplish for the week. Whether it is losing 2 pounds or business matters we all need some type of motivation to get use going, so I found a lovely quote to get us all ready for this week. Enjoy!

The day is coming to an end and I am proud to say that I did 2 of the three things I had plan to do today.

  1. I did 15 minutes on my elliptical, 30 minutes of step aerobics and 15 minutes working the biceps and triceps today!!
  2. drank 64 ounces of water

As far as the food I had a struggle with calories, but not too bad. So I will work on that tomorrow. I can’t believe how getting out of a routine for 2 weeks can make the body feel that it is out of shape. For real!! My legs felt like led poles, lol.

Well, I am off to make sure that I recorded the biggest loser tonight so that I can watch it in the morning to chat with you all about. Have a great night :)

Good grief, I have been such a slacker the past month and the scale shows. It is still at 165! I am so tired of talking about this number and seeing the number. So, what am I going to do about it? I am going to lock up that slacking, snacking, lazy girl up and get back to my goal. Hell, summer is around the corner and I want to look awesome in my jeans, suit, shorts, everything!! Hell, I am so inspired. . I was watch the Visionquester’s Vlog and she was doing 20 chin ups. You rock girl!! I can only do 5. hee hee. It’s a start and I want to push at more. Check her out!! She is the bomb!!!

My plan of action will be as follows:

  1. eat my meals as planned and put a stop to snack at night. I will also stop working on the computer late at night which is my downfall. I am close to the kitchen and that’s when the snacking begins and don’t end. I will just go up to bed at 10:00pm and if I am not tired I will read. I purchase two books to read this month one is a auto biography of Chanel and a fictional book called Barefoot.
  2. I will get my exercise in on Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday when DH is home. It is kind of hard to workout with your child is interrupting your concentration.
  3. Drink, drink, DRINK lot of water!! Heck, I have a bottle right in front of me as I type. I just need to take a chug now. Gulp, done!

Well, in a bit I will be taking the young one to the mall to play and maybe sneaking so shopping too. Then when I return home I will clean and hop on the elliptical for 15 minutes and lift for biceps and triceps. Once the little guy is in bed I will pop in my dvd and workout to Jari. Until then here is some inspiration for the mind:

I hope you all have a great day and I will chat later!
