Okay!! I have not seen the show yet because I have been so busy getting ready for tonight, Valentines day (I got a new hair cut that night at the salon, I will post a pic soon), and other projects with work and family too. Thank God I did record the show and have it waiting for me to watch in peace Friday night since my house will be a bit quiet. So for all of you that check here weekly for the update I will definitely make a post on it later tomorrow night.
On another note, how was your Valentine’s celebrating? I had a great time with my hubby at dinner and came home to watch a movie by Tyler Perry called “Why did I get married?” Before we started the movie we decided not to watch because we are both so tired from this week and did not want to ruin a good movie. You know how you eat too much food and you get that tired lazy feel? Well that is what exactly happened to the both of us after eating out at the Cheesecake factory. Yikes!! I am going to have to workout like a fanatic the next week for sure. How about you?
Well, since my son is visiting with Grandpa again I have a power workout and food plan set for the weekend after a splurge like today. I got to get the scale in motion again. I am floating around 165. By the way I am so tired of seeing that number in the scale, lol. But… I will be doing:
- Jari Love Get Ripped 1000 DVD for 30-40 minutes before work
- 10 minutes of the elliptical trainer
- 3×15 rep of abs: upper, lower and obliques
My meal plan will be:
- BSN lean dessert protein shake
- lunch BSN
- Snack yogurt, banana
- Dinner: lean cuisine
- Dessert: apple ( I don’t even wait to look at anything rich right now, TOM is on the way and I will be bloated as H.E.L.L.)
Well, I am off to get ready for bed and do a nice stretch. Enjoy the rest of V-day!!

Enough with the slacking from being sick. I am feeling better and ready to get back on the training tip today and there is no excuse because I am off from work. So, that means I can clean the house, play with my son, and workout with cardio and weights today and to get that started I will work out to my new fav Jari Love get ripped 1000. The one thing I will remember to do is increase my weights. What are you going to do today, tomorrow, or this week to improve yourself for this coming summer? If it is to eat healthy for 7 days straight to start a good habit do it!! Maybe a walk in the neighborhood for 20 minutes, do it!! What eve it is do it and feel proud that you did it!
later today I am going to the salon for the first time in years and have someone style my hair. I am so nervous and pray that everything turns out fabulous! If it does I will have DH post pics later tonight after the Biggest Loser goes off or early in the morning before work.
Well, I am off to go play for now. Have a great day

I found this great quote from Diana Ross,
You can’t just sit there and wait for people to give you that golden dream. You’ve got to get out there and make it happen for yourself.
-Diana Ross
What do you think? It is so true with everything in life. So today I will apply that to get focused on weight training and getting cut for summer vacation!!
Chat later

Yesterday I had such a great day with eating on track and exercise too, however late last night while I was reading I was coughing like a dog???? what the…. So I decided to shower and go to bed. Well when I woke up this morning I was coughing up a lung and now my chest and joints ache. Oh MAN!! To make matter worse I have to go into work tonight and I am praying I don’t have that many clients to work with. I may even try to come home a bit early if business is slow.
I was sick in January and I don’t want to get sick before Valentine’s Day!! Damn!! Sorry
I just had to vent. I had some fun workouts planned today, but the body is just not up for the mental challenge. The only thing I could do is eat my meals as planned which was:
- BSN protein shake
- BSN protein shake (no appetite really)
- yoplait banana cream pie yogurt
- Dinner will be salmon, green beans, and orange
- dessert if I have a appetite for one will be just graham crackers
To make sure I am not experiencing seasonal allergies again and I also popping some meds to play it safe too. Man, it funny how life works. When you mind is ready to work something gets in the way. I guess that how it work. Well, I better make myself look somewhat decent for work. I hope that all of you are doing well and I will chat later.

Did you all see the show tonight?? Jillian is such an awesome trainer and I see why people are so successful on her program. Remember last week when her team had the awful weigh in numbers and Jillian told them that they are having food issues? She was so right. Today she asked each team member how many calories they were eating each day and when they said that they were eating on average 600-1000 calories a day. My mouth hit the floor! Why, well they workout almost six hours a day and when their caloric intake is so low they are totally screwing up their metabolism which equates to low numbers on the scale.
So this week she fixed that in a hurry by getting them back to healthy eating. Some of the girls should be consuming almost 1600 calories at minimum to loss weight. As a result, they rocked the scale causing the blue team to go to elimination. Don’t get me wrong I love Bob and the black team, but they were kind of getting a little cocky.
No get this, I was shocked with Jackie (blue team member) she was going around to her fellow teams trying to get Trent “voted off” since he was so home sick, but I think she was trying to save her butt from being eliminated off which really put a bad taste in my mouth. I also think it put a bad taste in her fellow team member mouth too.
To her surprise she thought she was in until the unanimous vote was in to send her home. In a way I think that she deserved it. What do you think? How dare she do that, but I guess she was playing the game too.
Well, until next week we will see what drama is drawn in from this elimination.

Anyway, I have been doing well and maintaining my loss I just need to move forward to 160. I am 6 pounds aways to my first goal and I just need to stay focused.
What are you all doing for valentines day? If babysitting plans don’t fall through we will be going out to a quiet dinner together and I really need to watch what I eat and then go to the main event and have fun bowling!! Bowling is a great way to burn off some of the dinner that i will be eating. I made plans to have my hair cute and style that week too, so I am praying I love it and if I do I will share it with you all.
Well, I better go and order my BSN and had out to the mall. Have a great day ya’ll!!

Many people have visit my page called “My 65 pound Nutrisystem Adventure” and asked me the same question which is does Nutrisystem really work? Does the food taste good? How long does it take to lose? Well, to answer the first question, yes!! Nutrisystem does work!! I am not a model, I am just a regular person needing to lose weight in order to not became diabetic. Before starting the program I weighed 230lbs which is a lot for my 5′8” frame and I was so over being that weight, so that is when I joined Nutrisystem. Here is a picture of me before (I hate this picture, but here we go):

This was a picture of me on our cruise in 2004. I hated this photo and the feeling I had when I was on the cruise. On the excursions we went on and by the way a lot of walking was exhausting and I new something needed to be done sooner or later. Many people today look at this picture and say is that really you? Of course it is, but many friends and family know this is me and how far I came on Nutrisystem to get to the new person I am today through getting the correct portions, drinking water, and exercise. Here are a few pictures of me after the weight loss weighing at 155-160lbs:

So you see. I am a real person that struggled with there weight too any continue to maintain it to this day.
Now, how does Nutrisytem taste? For me, it taste great!! I found foods that satisfied my cravings because you can customize the food you like on their program which is a plus. The ship the food to your home which is very convenient too. My favorite foods were:
- Thin crust pizza
- Lassange
- macaroni and beef
- chilli and beans
- hamburgers
- low fat granola cereal
- pancakes
- chicken noodle soups
- vegatarian pasta salad
- chicken salad with melba toast
- chocolates
- granola bars and many more!!
So, what I am trying to say that if you decide this is the program for you try to find foods that you enjoy in order to make your weight loss process a bit more enjoyable.
The other question that was asked a lot was how long did it take to lose the weight? For me it took 8 months to lose 65 pounds, but keep in mind that everyone loses weight differently. It may take someone longer or even shorter to lose this amount that is way all weight loss programs say “All results are typical”. So, if you are trying to lose weight and need something that works by all mean try Nutrisystem. It worked for me, so why wouldn’t it work for you?

- Iman
