Oh you guys I am such a softy lately. It must be PMS, hee hee :)

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket Anyway, my son and I was watching the Polar Express Movie we have on DVD and man it was wonderful! You have got to see it with your family if you haven’t. The main thing I loved is seeing the joy in our son’s eyes as he watched. He also fell in love with the children, the conductor (Played by Tom Hanks) and most of all the elves and Santa Claus. My son was like, “I want to write a letter to Santa”. Even though he just turned 4 years we both managed to write one up and I placed it in an envelope for him.

His favorite scene was “Hot Chocolate”. We were both singing and dancing and saying, hot! hot! Hot Chocolate! It was so cute. The other scene he loved is when the children on the Polar Express arrived to the North Pole to see Santa. He was in awe!! Overall, what I personally liked about this movie is what each child learned from each of their experiences on the Polar Express and how each of then can be a better person.

After watching this movie it gave me a great idea because our son wants to watch it on christmas eve before going to bed. I was thinking I would go out and get popcorn and hot chocolate to serve for the movie. He would just love it! Then after the movie is finished we could get some decorated cookies and leave them in front of our fireplace for Santa to eat. Then to top it off I was thinking of buying a Christmas bell and wrapping it in a box and leaving a note from Santa saying something similar to what was done in the movies. He would just be in heaven on Christmas day when we open up gifts.

Well you all, today I got a chance to do day one of the challenge and I have to say that it was not bad as I thought it would be. Later this afternoon after a nice nap (my child finally took one today, ahhh..) I did the workout for Monday today and then I did 30 minutes of cardio on the elliptical. It was nice, but I wished my eating habit was a little better. Today I had no plan and my fridge is getting bare and when that happens you set yourself up for failure. Learn from my mistake today. Tomorrow I will have a better meal planned out along with a hour of cardio waiting for me.

Well, I am off for the moment. Need to get some sleep in for tomorrow otherwise if I am tired and groggy that lead me to snacking during the day and no cardio and we do not want that to happen at all.

Wow!! What a finale!! I was so impressed with all of the transformations. I bet that Bob, Kim and Jillian was so proud of their teams because they all look fabulous! Did you see Neil’s and Jim weigh in? Neil lost 221 pounds, however the percent to weight is what had him lose to Jim. Jim looked amazing too with is 186lb loss which help him take home the $100k prize.

Then the final four came to the stage. Holy cow they all again looked great, but the person I was most intrigued with was Julie’s loss. She looked hot!! She look so beautiful and I bet she will not be afraid to got to her hubby’s work parties ever again. The outfit that she was in I loved so much!! I want one just like it. I have to say she now looked her age. She is 34 right? Well, during the show I thought she was 40 years of age. Wow, it is awesome what losing weight can do to a person appearance. It can literally take years off.

But at the end Bill, the other twin, won the $250k prize with his amazing weight loss. I kind of knew that the twins would win and you can’t be mad at them at all. They played the game fair and with integrity and that what it is all about.

I can’t believe I missed my motivation Monday quote yesterday. With the Holidays and all I have been so busy lately. I can’t believe I am saying this, but I can’t wait until Christmas too. I am ready for all of the retail madness to be finished now. People get themselves so worked up about buying a particular item and when they wait until them last minute to buy things and find that they are out of stock they want to give you some attitude about why aren’t you sufficiently stocked. Well… come on it is 7 days before Christmas, what do you expect? Ahhh!! Sorry I just had to vent for a sec.

Today I am off from work YEY!!! So, I will be catching up on the cardio and lifting today along with house work and stuff. Although if my son had it his way we would be gone all day and playing, but we can not do that all the time. lol.

I can’t believe tonight the biggest loser’s season finale is here!! I am so excited!! I can’t wait to see the transformations. Who do you think will win? I don’t know at this point, so we will have to see.

Anyway, I will have to go for now.  I will definitely find a nice quote to post today too.

Okay… I busted my Christmas challenge already. Darn it! I have been on it since Thanksgiving and not losing jack, but maintaining my weight through this season which I am happy with compared to last year when the weight started to move up to the 170’s. This year my weight is at 163.5 and I am not going to complain. I just want to enjoy myself this holiday without the stress. So I said to myself, “I will eat in moderation and enjoy myself, but I will continue to exercise and lift to maintain until the New Year. Then I will get my act together seriously and get LEAN for summer as planned.

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket  I found a great article in Shape magazine on called “Get your Leanest Body ever and lose 10 pounds in a month”. I am down with that!! They set up a fitness routine to challenge your muscles each day to avoid plateaus, which I hate, with 300 minutes of cardio and 2 or 3 strength sessions a week and follow “The 100% satisfaction diet too. Now the diet part I have done pack I just need the cardio. So I am excited to have a plan together to get started. I found this plan in the January 2008 issue on pages 117 and up.

If any of you are up for the challenge join me! I will be starting it officially on New Years day (Tuesday), but you know that I will have to sneak in a few moves before then to get the routine ready mentally.

Today was okay. I went into work and it was busy as hell. Not much coverage in our department which really sucked, but what can you do. I got home and wanted to exercise, but my son missed me so much so I decided to take the day off and play. He is so cute with his new conversations he is starting to have now. I love it!! And, he is still asking about Christmas too. I swear I am going to go crazy, but he is 4 and has no concept of time. Well, in a bit I am going to review the workout plan on shape.com and get ready for some action.

I hope that you all had a great day and that you are finished with you Christmas shopping too.

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket How many of you weigh yourself daily on your scale for tracking weight loss? I know I am one of those who have become a slave to my scale daily. Now, some research has shown that it can be beneficial to weigh yourself daily to keep up with weight gain and keep you in check. The bad side of that is your weight does flucuate on a daily basis and they can be very fustrating at times when you are vunerable. Lately that has been me. I should know better for instance when you lift to build lean muscle or had a vigorious workout your body may retain lots of water which in esscence will make it appear that you have gained weight. So, if you are not in the right mind set this can become frustating and if you are an emotional eater like me it can send you off the deep end to eat more.

So, today I am going back to the old school way of tracking my weight which will be weekly weigh ins or even bi weekly. I think this will help my mind set totally! Because when I get on that scale it will be a surprise for one thing of my current weight loss and if I don’t lose much, but  see results in my clothes then I will be okay. I am just so tired of daily weigh ins and feel like a slave to that darn thing and it shouldn’t be that way at all. So, if you are a newbie at this take my advice and you will feel so much better.

Anyway, today I will do the workout I had plan to do yesterday. I was so tired and couldn’t muster the strength. I thought I was getting sick, but I feel better today. So with that said. Free yourself!!

The thing with dieting is that it definitely helps out on the way of losing weight, but isn’t really effective if your not working out. See, when you start dieting, you could end up losing some muscle mass and that is why we need to exercise in order to build the muscle mass back up. Your muscles are responsible for burning your fat so you definitely want to keep them in mind when starting a new diet plan.

Exercise not only helps build up muscle; it also helps burn off excess fat when you sweat. Exercise combined with a healthy diet to go a long with it can result in a quick, painless weight loss plan. Another benefit of exercising is that it speeds up your metabolism and will keep it going all day even when you’re not exercising.

If you really want to get on a good exercise routine you really need to choose one that you think you will stick with. Choosing which exercise to do everyday must be something that you will look forward to doing and something you will fall in love with. When you are done choosing which exercise you want to do make sure that you tell yourself that you will be doing it in order to have long term success.

Exercise is very crucial to even fight off certain diseases. Exercise has been proven to help or completely eliminate heart disease, diabetes, osteoporosis and a few others. It will also benefit in the resistance to getting sick and also better joint flexibility.

Here are a few of the best exercises you can get started with:

1. Walking

Walking is the best exercise to start with. Walking gets your heart pumping and also gives your leg muscles an awesome workout.

2. Running

You may want to first start out by walking and then gradually start running. This exercise is really god for your heart and also helps burn the fat off a lot quicker then walking.

3. Exercise Video

If you don’t like the outdoors because it’s too hot or cold then this is a perfect idea for you. I believe this is the best option for someone to have over getting a gym membership. This is because you can pop in the video on your own schedule and not have to worry about running into the 5 o’clock traffic at the gym.

So, there you have it. Now you know how important exercise is to have in your diet.
