Good Morning all,
I am so glad it is Friday!! Did you all enjoy the post this morning? The fit tip from Oxygen magazine and Melissa Hall? I have already worked out my biceps and they feel GREAT!! In a bit I will be cleaning the playroom with my son, so that it can look nice and neat for his party tomorrow. I do even know why I am cleaning it. It will be a total wreck after the party is done. Gotta love it! After that I have to run to the store, AGAIN!! I forgot to get toilet paper and my veggie to start getting ready for thanksgiving. Dang! Oh well… before that I will do 30 minutes of step and then I will get ready for work this afternoon until 8:00pm.
Later… watch out! I have found a new templete for this site and I can’t wait to implement it later tonight hopefully, so don’t be too surprise when you log on later and see a new site!! the reason why I am waiting for tonight is because my DH will be installing it. I am terrible at it, lol. The reason for the change is that I want something at little darker for fall I guess and I am bored of this one. I am a woman, what do you expect. hee hee.
better run!!

It is that time of the year again and black Friday is coming very soon! As a matter of fact it will be here in 7 days!! Instead of waiting in long lines at the stores this year let your fingers do the shopping from home and find something really special for your little ones. I came across this really interesting site that offers Personalized Gifts for Children including their most popular gift which is their “My Special Christmas Adventure” book. This personalized story book is where a child is taken on a magical journey with Santa Claus. I thought that was so cute, but I am primarly more interested in the personalized ornaments that can make for you and your closet friends and family. They also have many other personalized gifts for Christmas including Disney, Seasame Street and lots of decorations for the whole family. Check out this cute site and tell me what you think of it?
Happy Halidays!

I am so excited to report I got my cardio in!! My friend and I exercised to Tae bo amped “full cardio”. We managed to complete 35 minutes until our kids that were playing together decided to join in on the fun they thought at least. That workout was another good one! We both were sweating like pigs and received a great upper body workout. I also ate very clean so far:
- Meal 1: protein shake with banana
- Meal 2: Shrimp in a bed of mixed lettuce
- Meal 3: Grapes and cheese
- Meal 4: will be shrimp, brown rice and green beens
- Meal 5: Dessert will be no pudge brownie mix which is an awesome low fat brownie mix that I love!!
Well, at 5:45 I will be going for a jog and then later I think I want to try the core workout in the tae bo amped series too. Then I have to go wrap presents for my son’s birthday party this saturday. All I can say is he is soooo spoiled! My mom shipped down 5 outfits for him which he really needs, his uncle is buying him more clothes and then I am sure grandpa has a few things on his list to get him and then me… I bought him 5 ninja turtles action figures, a costume for him to dress up in and play and they ninja turtle tower too. He is sooo excited for this weekend. He helped me pick out his balloons and party favors for his party. So I better run!!!

It is finally getting cold here in central Texas and I am sure it is already cold in the others areas too. I am happy about it because I can finally start to wear fall clothing here now from boots to sweaters and nice warms stylish legging and socks. Yey!! Today I was shopping with my son for his winter clothing and now it is my turn. I really don’t need a lot of clothes, but I need socks and tights. I was browsing online and came across Hue.com which is a company you definitely see in your major departments stores like Macys and Dillards. Hue is a retailer that has an extensive line of comfortable socks and tights in a variety of colors, sizes and textures. I saw some fun fish net tights to your traditional legwear. I was also surprised to see that they also carry a small line of accessories and handbags too! It’s great to know that they have a online store because I hate it when I go to the mall looking for a specific style and come to find that they are sold out of my size. Grr! So, now I can shop with them directly since they offer a $5.00 flat shipping on every order, no matter how large the size. If you wear this brand you will be glad you check this out today.

am almost completed my 26 day challenge with a total fat loss of 3lbs thus far. It’s good but I could have done way better. I came to the conclusion that I was eating too many calories with my meal plan that I set. Well, the meal plan was fine, but when I substituted two of my meals during the day for my Muscle Milk protein shake I did not take into consideration the amount of calories I was drinking. Did you know that for the suggested serving of the muscle milk I was downing 640 calories? OMG! So if I was replacing two of my five meals with that I was consuming almost 1300 calories with the two shakes on top of the 3 meals I was eating totaling 2100 cals a days. Yikes ya’ll that is way too much for weight loss. I need to stay in the 1300-1500 calories range to loss weight/fat.So saying that i will be finding a protein shake with less calories. Then once I reach my desired weight of 150 I will got back to the Muscle Milk to build up muscle mass. So, I will be modifying my meal plans to stay with in the my target caloric range and keep the exercise routine as scheduled. Do you have any suggestions on lower calorie protein shakes? Please let me know. I will be out shopping in a bit with my son. Guess what I will be putting myself on another challenge for fat loss. It will be my Christmas challenge starting the day after Thanksgiving. It will be 32 days long and what I have learned from this challenge I will apply it so that I will reach my 155 goal by the new year!! Feel free to join me!! It will be fun to share our challenges and success together!!
Today Day 18:
I have lots of movement planned today I will be working out my upper body:
- abs
- chest
- shoulders
- back
- triceps, biceps, and lats
Then I will be meeting with my girlfriend because she wants to try the tae bo amped while our kids play together. So that will be a 30 minutes workout. Then I will be going for a jog later with another friend of mine. So, today I will be BURNING so FAT away!!!
Well i am off to run errands with my son. His 4th birthday party is this Saturday!! This boy loves some ninja turtles, lol. So , better sneak that in the truck while we are out.
Gotta run!!

I just had to share this article I found today because a lot of being have been asking me why is protein so important for weight loss and building muscles. So people say that protein will make you fat or they say I don’t have time to cook all of the protein suggested on a daily basis. So this article was great in explaining the importance of protein and if you are unable to prepare it how protein supplements can be a great way to replace a few meals.
Enjoy!
Protein And Your Fitness Goals
By Angie Schumacher
Why do we need protein?
Protein is the building block of our whole body - muscles, tissues, hair, nails, etc - all made up of protein. The body needs to break protein down to amino acids to build muscles. If you do not have enough protein in your body you can NOT build muscle mass. You want to make sure that your body is burning fat, not muscle and you can ensure this by ingesting .9 grams of protein per pound of body weight. If you want to build muscle, you will need to ingest 1 to 1.5 grams of protein.
Most protein foods of animal origin such as meat, poultry, fish, eggs, cheese, and milk, contain all of the essential amino acids and are called complete proteins. Proteins found in vegetables are usually lacking one or more of the essential amino acids, so they are called incomplete proteins. However, you can combine 2 incomplete vegetable proteins to make a very high quality complete protein. These are the foods are where most of your protein grams should come from first.
Will taking in protein make me fat?
Amino acids in protein help keep your blood sugar levels stable, so if you are trying to lose weight, the protein will aide in your weight loss. Protein helps keep stop your cravings for food that occurs when blood sugar level drops. When your diet is too high in carbohydrates, you go from a burst of energy and being full to being tired and hungry. That is why you must always have a protein and a carbohydrate at each meal.
Why should I supplement with whey protein? Can’t I get enough protein from eating regular foods?
Yes, you can get enough protein, but there are times when it can be very hard. In todays world, people just don’t have enough time. Running here and there, always on the go. This is where protein shakes can come in very handy. They literally take 2-3 minutes to prepare. Scoop the powder into a shaker or blender with some form of liquid (milk, fruit juice or water). Supplementing with whey protein shakes will help you to build muscle mass, speed recovery time, reduce injuries related to working out, help you to maintain a healthy and fit body and help you to feel better during your workouts.
When are the best times to use a protein supplement?
You should try to get most of your daily protein from regular foods, but there are times when having a protein shake are more beneficial. First thing in the morning, when your body has not had any food for the past 8 hours or so, shakes are digested much faster than an actual meal. Immediately following a workout is also an ideal time for a protein shake. This is probably the most important time to have a shake because after your workout, your muscles need to rebuild and repair themselves.
Can too much protein hurt my body?
If you take in too much protein, your body will not be able to process all the protein into amino acids. What your body can not use will have to be excreted as a waste product. This means your kidney and liver will be doing a lot of work just to get the excess protein out of your body. While this will not cause any major problems over a short period of time - you would not want to be overworking your kidney and liver over the course of several years. That being said - protein supplementation is very safe if you stay within the dosage guidelines.
Which protein supplement is best?
Whey protein is the best form of protein to take when using a supplement as it does not contain fat or lactose sugar. Whey is one of two major sources of protein in milk (casein protein being the other). When milk is turned into cheese, the whey protein is filtered out. The result is a high quality protein.
So as you can see, protein is the most important part of your diet, whether your goals are to increase muscle and get bigger and stronger, or lose weight and lose fat and get/stay lean.

Did you all see the biggest loser last night? What a show!! At first the teams were broken down to compete as individuals which I thought was a good idea because you don’t have anyone holding you down for elimination. The first challenge I was drooling over so bad. All I can say is DONUTS!! All different kinds!! My weakness are the donuts filled with chocolate buttercream frosting. Yummy!!! Anyway, the name of the game was to find the donut that was filled with a token worth $5,000.00, but the catch was that each player that wanted to participate had to eat a donut at each round in order to play. Just think each donut is approx 300 calories each. So, my thought was I would have to do a half hour running on the treadmil in order to burn off that donut. Good grief!! Everyone was in except for Kae. I commend her on her willpower and mind set. She thought it was not worth. To make a long story short Bill won the challenge and got the $5k. I sure wish I had $5k now, I would buy some equipment for my home gym and take my family on vacation to Disney world in Paris, France.
The next challenge was a triatholon and the winner of that challenge was able to fly back home for 24 hours, win immunity from the weigh in, and they were able to pick another player to win the same prize. it ends up that Hollie win and she choose Julie. Amy was steaming mad that she wasn’t chosen, but hey you can’t have everything. Oh yeah, speaking of Amy did you see what she was going to too with Kim, the red team’s trainer? She was going to turn in her red shirt back to kim! I thought that was so rude and like kim said a slip in the face to her ex team members. What do you think about that? The funny thing is at that B and her was at elimination. I was praying that they would not vote of B because he was such a team player, honest, and had good comerodery with the fellow cast. However, it ends up that Amy get sent home? How do you all feel about last night voting? I think Amy needed to go home. She was not happy there to begin with and she would always feel betrayed by someone on the show. Come on! My thought was plan the game and that’s it! Tell me your thoughts?
Well, I better run for now and see what my little man is up to and get my but movin’
Chat later!!
