Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at PhotobucketWould you agree that there has been a lot a advertisements gearing towards adults and stressing the importance of maintaining a healthy lifestyle? I do, but what about our growing youth? I think it is very important to teach what we’ve learned about living a healthy lifestyle and passing those values down to them, so that they can grow up into healthy adults. It saddens me to see how some kids these days spend too much time doing seditary activities such as watching t.v. and playing video games for hours. One may ask how can I help my young child? Or where can I start?

Well I came across this interesting Site called PlaySportTv.com today. This site was really intriguing to me because as you know I have a child of my own and I want him to learn the benefits of eating healthy and stay active too. What I found is this site is a brand new broadband channel that is dedicated to give great sports instruction to youth sports through coaching and instruction. I also found that the PlaysportTV.com team has more that 65 years of experience in media development and they also know about sports through their many years of coaching experience. They also have managed a national sports magazine for kids and have an extensive network of coaches, athletes and other youth sports expects available to you.

The other benefits are:- Great instructional content, including more than 500 free videos that teach key skills in sports like soccer, football, basketball and many more that make it easy for parents to help develop their kids’ skills and enjoyment of the game.

- Comprehensive sportsmanship and sports parenting content to help parents develop well-rounded athletes and coaches and parents to set a good example for their kids.

- Expert blogs offering easy-to-understand tips and advice, and kid-friendly feature stories and interviews with athletes and coaches that help educate, motivate and encourage kids to get the most out of the youth sports experience.

I feel that the features to this site are phenomenal especially for a parent that may not know where to start. Additionally, with these features I believe that they will set you up for success and create a fun and interactive atmosphere for you and your child to love for many years. Heck, you may even find a new sport that you may like for yourself too. I would highly recommend anyone that are at a lost for ideas or need additional coaching techniques for the school aged kids in order to make exercise through sports a fun experience for you and your child to enjoy together.

What a day. Today seemed to fly by fast!!! Today was day one of brand training with my new job and man was so much fun!! As I mentioned before I will be working for Sephora and today we learned about Benefit, Bare Essentials, Anastasia, DDF, Cosmedicine, Go Smile, and others. Man, I am going to be so broke and a make-up junkie!! All of them were wonderful and I really REALLY love the bare Essentials. It light weight and it is a mineral make-up that goes on like a creme. I recommend for you all to just go to your nearest Sephora and give it a try.

Later that day we were treated to Mexican food and man was it good, but… Man my scale going to kill me in the morning. I had to fajitas, beans, rice, chips, salsa. It was sooo yummy. But now as I am relaxing for the evening I am starting to bloat. I hate that!! you know? I guess I better start drinking water like crazy and stay on track with my diet for the rest of the week. Right? Tomorrow’s menu will look like:

Breakfast:

  1. Special K’s Vanilla Almond 120 cals
  2. Half banana 60 cals approx
  3. Jennie-O smoke turkey bratwurst. 130 cals

Lunch

  1. 5 pieces of sushi 250 cals
  2. salad 50 cals

Snack

  1. Banana whole 120 cals approx

Dinner

  1. Chocolate Protein Shake 220 cals
  2. 1/2 cup of black berries 55 cals

Dessert

150 calorie chocolate molten cake

Totals cals: 1200 approx.

Thanks God I went to the store tonight, so that I can have plenty healthy choices to chose from. So, no excuses for me to cheat, haha. How does my menu look? I hope okay.
Did you know I watched an hour of the Biggest loser tonight and had to run the grocery store in time for my hubby to drive down to the airport to pick up my brother in law. I was at the store at 8:30pm. This is after working all day, coming home and making dinner for the family. I am toasted!! Thank God I recorded it so that I can watch the second half of the show. My hubby tells me that the contestants had spectacular weigh ins. So I can’t wait to watch. Did any of you watch the show tonight? I was already getting attached to some of the people already and I was in tears sympathizing with each of their stories because I was their and I know how they feel. This season is going to be pretty darn good! Tomorrow I will post about the show in more detail because my poor little mind is so tired that I better go and get some sleep because I will be learning more product tomorrow in training. Chat later!

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at PhotobucketHave you ever wondered what is a body detox and the true benefits from detoxing? I know I have prior to dieting and sometimes now I even question how does it really work and what is a great product to try to achieve results. How about you? Well, I was reading on this site and they seem to have the answer to my question and maybe it will answer yours too at the same time. Dual action Cleans claims that their formula is specially designed to help the body rid itself of accumulated waste such as mucous and undigested matter that can become built up in the colon. Sound great huh? That’s really what’s built up on our bodies. Yuck!! Anyway, they continue to say that by eliminating this waste prevents toxin from being absorbed by your body and gives you a sense of increased energy and I bet anyone can use increased energy. I know I can with a active 3 year old and a full-time job too. Phew!! Some other potential benefits of a colon cleansing that they state may include a decrease in gas or bloating, more radiant skin and hair and an overall trimmer appearance. Now who would not want that?

I continued to browse through the site to find out more about the product and pricing and found that they our packages starting from $59.90 up to $129.80. They also included video testimonials of their clients that have used the product themselves and they all had a positive results, and another great thing is that the site is very informative and easy to navigate on too! Check it out if you are in the market for detoxing anytime soon.

My son and I had a great day today even though it was kind of exhausting at the same time. We were both up bright and early so I decided why not, since all the kids are back in school lets go to the pool in our neighborhood after breakfast time. We literally was at the pool at 8:30am this morning. Arman, my 3 year-old was so excited to swim and practice doing a doggy paddle and just having plan ole fun!! We were at the pool for 1/2 hours and the best part is that we had the entire pool to ourselves. So we played lots of games I even got a chance to do some water aerobics too. I really worked out my legs and arms. Shoot, I think I was more exhausted then he was once we decided to get out and dry off.

After that we went to the park to play since the weather wasn’t too hot and we ended up playing we some other kids at the park. He was so cute he says, Mommy I am having fun play with kids today…they my friends? I was like awe.. So then he and the other kids played on the playscape and then in the sandbox. They all were trying to make sand castles and burring their feet. It was so so cute!! We ended up at the park for another 1 hour. Then it was starting to get hot outside so we headed to the grocery store. We did not get home until 12:00noon. Good grief and that was when both of our tummy started to rumble so I made lunch and played. Then he was playing alone to let mommy have a mild break to blog and catch up on the lasted news.

Later my hubby was home and we played and played, ate dinner, and play some more. Now it is 8:00pm and it’s time to cute Arman’s hair. This is the part of the day that goes downhill from here. It never seams to fail, but when it is time to cut his hair the boy goes completely awhale. He doesn’t like to get his hair cut. I don’t know why? But he literally starts screaming from the top of his lungs and crying. It breaks my heart. Right now DH is still trying to play negociater to cut his hair before bathtime. I swear if you hear a child screaming right now it is probably mine. This is what his face looks like when he get his hair cut.

Can any of you mothers out there relate? Why does this happend? What makes a child not like getting his hair cut? Any solutions to our problem? I swear we have tried everything from bribery to candy and other treats. HELP? If you have any suggestions PLEASE let me know!! So we do not have to go through this anymore lol.
Well, I am off to exercise, before does not happened today. I have been really good staying to my meal plan. And, as I mentioned before I got a good workout at the pool earlier too, so that scale better show me some love this week. Chat later- Nat

Wow!! I am blown away by what I discovered online today. Have you ever gotten bored of your regular exercise routine and what to add a little fun and spice to your workouts? I know I have been there and done that many times again. But!! I came across this website called Salsa BootCamp. Salsabootcamp.com is a online salsa dance school which teaches different forms of dance through Salsa, Merengue & Bachata Dance Bootcamp, completely online. I thought that was great because sometimes it can be inconvenient to leave the home with my hubby to go and take a class without a babysitter, so this can be a great way to learn but from the comfort of our very own home!! They have thousand of videos that will walk you step by step through learning how to dance. My hubby and I always wanted to take a class, but did not know where to find a school in our local area. We both think that salsa and other from of Latin dance is very sexy and fun. I also think it is another tool that can aid in weight loss too. Just think with all of the dancing and moving that will be done. You can have a fun and have a sensual experience with your significant other and lose weight at the same time.

After reviewing the site it seems that many of the testimonials listed are very positive and that people want to dance with Salsa Dancing Bootcamp. They offer a 3 day trial with a 3 different types of membership levels which seemed inexpensive to me because you may pay the same or more and travel expenses to go to an actual class. So, knowing that has me completely sold. In addition to that I want to learn how to salsa, so when we are invited to go to another salsa club we will be ready to say yes! My favorite part is also going shopping and finding a cool outfit to wear while dancing and having a great time. Check this site out and you will be glad you did if you are a salsa lover.

OMG everyone, the VMA’s was pretty interesting last night. I was hearing so much about it at work that I thought I better not miss it! Everyone was talking about Britney Spears and her comeback performance!! So I decided to watch it and Okay…………. What happened to Brittney? The staging was awesome and the effects, but….. Here is go, what was with her hair? I could totally tell she had extensions on, and that’s bad. I would fire her stylist. They could have layer her own and the extensions so that they would blend in much better than that. Then what happened to her performance? It was so weak! She didn’t even lip sync the song correctly. She totally was not ready to open the VMA’s. They should have had Chris Brown and Rianna opened the show. Their performance was AWESOME!! I found a clip to share. Check it out!!

[mtv:http://www.mtv.com/overdrive/?id=1568788&vid=173459]

The other artists was intrigued with was Rianna and Alicia Keys!! Both of them looked beautiful!!

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at PhotobucketRianna’s Hair was so fierce and edgy!! Her make up was just as fierce as her cut. She look nice and natural with the emphasis on her eyes. When I saw her I wanted to go play in my make-up and update my look right then.

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at PhotobucketThen Alicia Keys one of my favorites too! From her make-up and clothes was stunning. I was impressed with her body. It appeared perfectly tone and ready for performance. Did I mentioned performance?? Did you get a chance to see her on stage? She totally rocked the stage and she sang live!! NO Lip SYNCING!!! You go girl!! I also fell in love with her boots she was wearing during the performance. I want a pair!! I don’t no where I would wear them, but I will find a some where lol. what did you all think of the VMA’s? What was your favorite performance or artist that appeared? I better go get exercising in a minute, but I will try to log back on later. have a great day!!! :)

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at PhotobucketBowflex is probably the most recognized brands in exercise equipment. Bowflex is perhaps better known for their variety of home gyms, however they have also came out with a variety treadmills which add competition to the already crowded moderate priced treadmill market. Bowflex is not the least costly home gym, but the construction and quality are unsurpassed. Bowflex is made by the Nautilus group that makes the Nautilus, StairMaster, Schwinn and the Bowflex lines of home and commercial exercise equipment.

I have worked out with free weights and universal machines before this and with the Bowflex I feel that I get the same or even a better workout than before. I grew tired paying membership fees and the hassle of getting in my car, switching clothes, and then going to the gym. A usual trip to the fitness club would take 2-3 hours including travel time. I’m a pretty focused individual, but eventually, it becomes too difficult to get myself in the gym due to the many nuances in life.

For the average individual who is looking to get in shape the BowFlex is an ideal piece of equipment to invest in. After I first acquired mine, I began to utilize this equipment for my weight training. The Bowflex may look odd because it does not utilize traditional weights, but it is an incredibly versatile piece of exercise equipment.

One of the benefits of a Bowflex home gym is you have many variations of exercises to choose from, all with 1 machine. The Bowflex Xtreme2 for example allows you perform more than seventy different exercises including squats, which is hard to find on a typical home gym. The design of Bowflex home gyms closely simulates the range of motion achieved from using free weights.

Another great benefit of owning a Bowflex is if you are unhappy after using your Bowflex for up to 6 weeks, Bowflex will refund the purchase price of your exercise equipment less shipping and handling costs. The Bowflex is presently available in five different models with five different price tags, from an basic level sixty exercise home gym to the Bowflex Ultimate, encompassing a wide variety of 90 strength-training exercises. And the pricing ranges from a minimum of $14.00 per month and up.

Many users of the Bowflex exercise on it for 20 minutes a day and three days a week reports amazing benefits in strength and tone of their physique. Customers who use the Bowflex to boost their activity and muscle toning often report loss of weight, a decrease of body fat, and ultimately gain more muscle strength.

The Bowflex is the king of the home exercise gyms, and the number one equipment for consuming calories. The Bowflex home gym became the number one choice for home gym equipment thanks to the range of exercises achievable, compact footprint, portability feature, durability, and overall degree of safety when being compared to weight training with free weights. Bowflex is absolutely the number 1 choice for a home gym that will save you time, money, and give you the ability to workout in the convenience of your own home.
