“This is the most important day in your life because this is the day that you are now living.
If your life is headed in an undesirable direction this is the day you can change it. If there are dreams you are longing to fulfill, this is the day you can follow them.
this day, right now, is the day when you can put to use all the knowledge, experience and wisdom you’ve accumulated. On this very day you can do things you’ve been meaning to do and connect with the people you’ve been meaning to see.
On this day, you have a world full of choices. On this day, there are more possibilities than before.
Of all the days you’ve ever lived, and of all the days to come, this is the one special day that now matters the most. For it is on this very day that you can now think and speak and act and love and live.
Give yourself a quiet, peaceful moment, and grasp the immense value that is now yours on this very day. Then step forward and fill it with beautiful life.”
Hi everyone! I hope that you all are off to a fun weekend today! I am so far. My hubby and I just got home from taking a little 3 year-old to see Ratatoullie. It’s a cute movie, but that’s all I can say. I am just happy my little one enjoyed it with lots of cute giggles. Well, today I just have to tell you all about something I came across while I was surfing the web. It is totally off topic, but would love to see if you all have heard about this or not? I came across this new website site called payperpost. Have any of your heard about it? This site seemed pretty interesting after reading through it a few times. But what this site offers to a blogger like you and me is the opportunity to review products, blog about it, and get paid. At first I was like no way! This can’t be true. Heck, a stay at home mom like me always like to find ways of making extra money to shop with especially after losing all of this weight and needing new clothes or just to have extra money for the family you know? So I read through more information and now I am totally intrigued and I may give it a trial run to see how this works and if it really pays off. What do you all think? Are any of you already members to this site? If so, you have got to tell me your about your experience with this site. It doesn’t seem to be that difficult to do this. You just make reviews, post it, and get paid?
I was on Nutrisystem’s Support Forum and while back and notice someone asking why is it so important to drink so much water will dieting? I can relate to her because when I first started the program back in September 2005 I had the same question. Well, I came across this article that totally explains why and I have to agree with what is said in the article because my skin is so much clearer, my body feels like it is digesting much, much better and on top of that I don’t feel so lathargic any more too. So, I just had to share this article with you because it explains it much better than I could. I hope this answers anyone questions regarding wate consumption.
Striving for good health and optimum weight has become something of a cultural pastime. And as experts continue to give advice regarding the benefits of diet and exercise as a program for overall well-being, they maintain the benefits of drinking water as part of this healthy lifestyle.
Over half of the human body is made up of water; it’s no wonder, therefore, that our bodies respond so well to drinking water. Medical professionals and nutritionists recommend at least sixty-four ounces of water a day in order for our systems to function at optimum levels. Water allows our body to effectively absorb the nutrients that we need from food and systematically flushes our kidneys of waste. In fact, all of our internal organs operate at higher capacity when we are well hydrated. When we are drinking water as we should be our blood thins appropriately; when we are dehydrated, blood becomes thicker making our bodies work harder to pump it. The result is overall fatigue and inefficiency.
Further, drinking water allows our body to effectively digest our food; without it our body cannot eliminate waste and keep the cycle going. It is for this reason that drinking water aids in weight loss. In addition to its effect on digestion, water also speeds our metabolism and acts as a natural appetite suppressant. It has been shown time and time again that those who are in the habit of drinking water throughout their day are far more successful and maintaining their weight throughout their lifetime.
Drinking water also has a stunning effect on our outside appearance, clearing skin and giving it a youthful, healthy glow. Few who enjoy the benefits of glowing skin can do so with adequate and frequent water intake.
Drinking water can literally be a miracle for your body, increasing health and overall body function, assisting in weight loss and weight maintenance, and giving you a youthful glow.

“If, at some point, your day gets pushed in a negative direction, it doesn’t have to stay that way. You can quickly and completely recover.
The distractions and disruptions will surely come along yet you do not have to let any of the ruin your whole day.
There’s never any need to wait until tomorrow to make a fresh start Instead, you can choose to immediately let go of whatever has thrown you off course.
You can decide to begin moving forward again right away. keep in mind that the number of times you fall is not nearly as important as how quickly you get back up.
Don’t allow an isolated frustration, disappointment or change in plans to turn into a whole days worth of negative momentum. Instead of feeling sorry for yourself, you can be moving forward.
recover quickly, get back up and get going again will be able to hold you back for long.”
Love handles, spare tire, ab flab it doesn’t matter what names we give it, it is still a layer of fat that is put on around a person’s midsection, especially visible on the sides. Love handles are more common in men than women, because the torso is the first area that fat builds up in the male body.
Love handles are a stubborn fat, which means they are difficult to remove completely. We usually see very quick initial results when we start dieting or exercising, but we hit a point where nothing seems to work to get us past a certain point in our weight loss. That is known as a plateau, that fat that is left is called “stubborn fat.” When we hit that plateau it generally defeats our attempts to gain the body we desire, we give up.
Dieting alone will not work because reducing calories is only one part of the complete picture. How you eat, how you move and your lifestyle are all factors which work together and can be the cause of stubborn fat. When properly balanced they gain you the body and look you desire.
Stay away from fad quick weight loss diets. Good solid nutrition is the key to sustained fat loss. Green vegetables, spices, fruits, whole grains, raw nuts and seeds are some of the many foods that help you decrease body fat quickly.
In addition to eating the proper foods a crucial part of removing stubborn fat is regular exercise. Exercise lowers blood sugar, cholesterol, body fat and blood pressure.
Not all exercise has to be structured. You can increase your activity level by parking at the far end of the parking lot, taking short walks during breaks, use the stairs for a couple of flights rather than take the elevator all the way up. These activities may not seem like much by themselves but adding a few daily will contribute greatly over the long haul.
Of course a formal exercise program will greatly improve your results. Circuit training is probably one of the most efficient routines. In a short precise time period it raises your metabolism, enhances your cardiovascular abilities and improves your strength. Concentrate on combining large muscle groups non-stop. For example chest, back and thighs. Its very important to find a fun exercise program so you will stick to it.
That is just a sampling of the many parts of solving how to lose love handles. We learned that love handles are a stubborn fat and require an aggressive attack to burn them off for good. You will be successful and look wonderful with consistent good nutrition and fun exercise.

How were you able to make such rapid progress? One big reason why you woved ahead so wuickly was because you weren’t worried about making mistakes.

I have always wondered how much my face has changed from the beginning to the end of my weight loss journey. So, DH and I got went through the photos and this is what I found. OMG!!! I didn’t realize how much I have transformed into this different person. It was a 8 month journey and even today and I still maintaining!! This is way to cooooool!! I just had to share this with you all to show what weight loss can do to a person.
Went Shopping & I now I have sooo much fun doing it even after 1 year and 3 months of maintaining my weight. June 29,2007 at 163 pounds!!!
Hey all, I just had to post some recent pics of me!! I am so enjoying the benefits of losing weight with Nutrisystem. This is my second summer enjoying wearing size 8 clothing and shopping at any store I want to know. I love clothes so much now. I used to be a person that would just shop for shoes and make-up because they would fit fine, but when it came to shopping for clothes I hated it. I went shopping at Kohls department store, Wet Seal, and Stein mart and had a blast and can’t wait to do it again, but DH will give me an evil look if I go shopping too soon. lol
Soon, if I am confident enough I my post a picture of me in my bikini for the first time ever in my life. I have never worn one and I will now!! keep your fingers crossed that I look okay in one.
It’s not too late to start a summer weight loss program! People use so many excuses not to eat right and exercise. “Well, it’s July, so I should have started this in April. It’s too late” or “I’ve been doing this for 2 months and I’ve only lost 2 pounds. I quit.”
If you set realistic expectations, you may just be able to get started and stick with it. Here are some fail-proof tips to get you on track:
∑ Set small attainable goals.
∑ Work on 2-3 goals per week.
∑ Don’t think about your “dream weight”. Think about losing 5 pounds. Then when you accomplish that. Think about the next 5. Two more times, and you’ve lost 20 pounds!
∑ Don’t compare yourself to others! You are unique. Come to peace with that.
∑ Eat! You have to eat to lose weight. Especially if you are over 40, cutting back too far on your calorie intake will backfire. You will lower your metabolism (bad!) and feel deprived, which will eventually lead you to overeating.
∑ Include both cardiovascular work (such as walking, jogging, swimming - activities that raise your heart rate) and weight or resistance work in your exercise plan. Cardio burns fat and calories, but you also have to build muscle to increase your metabolism.
∑ If you are not losing weight, start logging your food intake. Write down everything you eat and drink, including amounts. Measure your foods when possible. Then assess this record and make some changes. Cutting 250-500 calories a day results in 2-4 pounds weight loss per month.
∑ Learn to be patient. Unfortunately, it takes a lot less time to lose muscle than it does to gain it. Stick with your exercise goals, and make changes in your eating habits and you will see results. Weight loss is a marathon, not a sprint.
