Happy Wednesday!!!

Yes- I do suffer with plateaus too. I would be lying if I said that I didn’t. For the past few weeks I have been stuck, so I said to myself, How did I break it when I was losing the weight consistantly? Then I remembered switch up the exercise routines and try something new and extend the amount of time that I am exercising too! Duh.. Lately I have been doing the same exercises 3 days a week, cardio dance, denise austin, and more dancing and I think my body is bored and ready to take it to the second level.

So now, is ready to join me for a challenge this week? Well the challenge for me is to add one more day off exercise (so a total of 4 days this week) and introduce a new workout routine to challenge my muscles.  The routine I am going to add back in is Billy Blanks’ Tae Bo Cardio Circuit 1. I remember doing this workout consistantly and got great results.  My abs, arms, and legs had great tone and I want that back before summer time is here.  What are you all going to do? Do you have any plateau breaking secrets? If so, please, PLEASE share.

Hopefully later this week I will add a current before photo of me at my current weight 170. My goal weight was 160.  You all my be thinking just 10 pounds? Let me tell 10 pounds makes a huge difference in how my clothes fits and when the clothes start to feel tight and uncomfortable it is a sign to get back on track before I sowly get back to my original start weight which is 225 pounds. Yuk!! I don’t want to see that ever again. I hope that anyone that reads this have a great successful day at getting closer to your weight loss goals.

Happy losing,

Natasha

Hey all,

What is going on here? I was exercising and doing great for the past week and then this week came and my mouth wants to eat everything. Now, the scale is up again. Not terribly bad but enough to say, GET EXERCISING!!! I could blame it on the ice storm we had here in central texas the past few days, and due to that the city shut down and we could not get out untill the conditions were better to drive on the streets.  As a result, we ran out of healthy foods in the house and I was eating complete junk and too much of it.

So today I went grocery shopping and my little 3 year-old says mommy let’s get donuts? I must have not been in my right mind, but I said OKAY, let buy 4 and we ate them all and I felt so bad afterwards. :>(

So out of guilt, I drank down lots of water and I forced myself to get moving on my Reebok step aerobics to burn off some of the excess calories.  Do you think that was the right thing to do? I feel better and I know I need to get back into my routine now and I will!! I WILL!! I have too because I do not want to see that 225 pound me again. Not fun being at the weight or healthy.

Well, all the best of us have slip ups too so don’t feel alone.  We are all human and we just have to refocus and get on purpose again. Has anyone of you gone through this issue too?  I would love to hear your experience.

Have a great night,

Natasha

Most people give up just when they’re about to achieve success. They quit on the one yard line. They give up at the last minute of the game, one foot from a winning touchdown.
H. Ross Perot

This is so true my friends.  I can remember many times through my weight loss journey wanting to give up because I was stuck at a plataeu wanting so badly to break into the 200’s, or 190’s or 170’s. And now, I am so glad that I didn’t becuase I would never had the chance to succeed and reach my healthy weight, and feel so much better about myself. So don’t give up. Don’t let miner pits stop make you stop accomplishing whatever your goals are in life.

LOL,

Natasha

OK- Look at the pictures of me above.  At this time I weighed 225 pounds and had no ambition to exercise.  Someone would say exercise and I would run the other way.  Now some of you out there will be able to relate to my flashback b/c I remember starting Nutrisystem and wondering, “what kind of exercise routines should I try?  I am too heavy to try kicking my legs to Tae Bo.  Step aerobic would kill me after just 15 mins, and I am not trying bootcamp training either!”  So, a very good friend of mine suggested that I try walking with her and a friend with our kids in the stroller?  So, I was like okay- now I can walk and push my 25 pound child in a stroller.

So the next day arrived and I was to meet her at our local Brushy Creek Park in Cedar Park.  When I got there I was ready and was feeling good until she said, “We are going to walking and pushing our kids in the stroller for about 7 miles, and too add, the walking surface was on gravel, AND there was many hills to go up and down.”  My eyes got so big, but I told myself it couldn’t be that bad.

Yeah right!!! The skinny mommies were walking so fast they forgot that big Natasha could not walk that fast at 225 pounds.  My thighs were burning and not the muscles mind you.  They were burning because my big ole thighs were rubbing together too much. I remember my muscles that day was in such shock to the point my muscle were shaking. I was praying God help me?!?!?  Finally I made it to the half way point and then the ladies said okay let’s turn around and head back.  I was like Oh NO!!  because going downhill was easy, but the way back I had to go uphill and at that moment my 25 pound toddler in the stroller felt like I was pushing 100 pounds.

So I headed back with the other moms and to make thing worse it started to rain.  I wanted to cry.  My body was ready to shut down on me.  One mom felt so bad for me that she offer to push my little toddler back for me, so that he could get out of the rain. I had to go up many hills and finally I saw my car and I was like HALLELUJAH!!!!  I was the last mom to return.  How embarassing huh? The other moms were so nice to let my little boy stay in their cars until I made it back.  They all gave me hugs and said they were proud of me.  But after all of the hugs, I got into my car and just sat there for 15 mins.  I felt like my muscles were in such shock and I was so tried, and shaking due to exhaustion.  My body was like, what going on, what the HELL did you due to me!! hee hee. I remember getting home finally and getting my little in bed for his nap and I think I slept too!!

But isn’t that something?  I guess my point is don’t give up. Keep trying and you will get better and better and the weight will begin to drop.  Now, I can do that walk in my sleep and I can out walk the skinny moms now!!! I tell them, Watch out!!! Her comes Natasha!!! Any they just say you go girl!!!
